      all that is allowed. From the Speedway Australia rulebook:
      4.31. FIELD SIZES a) Sedan Divisions: The absolute maximum field size for all Sedan Divisions is 24 cars. b) Open Wheel/Modified Divisions: Open Wheel and Modified Divisions are limited to 20 cars; however, some National Titles may allow 21 cars to accommodate the reigning champion if they have not qualified for the main title event. Please note: Some venues have lower limits, depending on the venue Safety Rating, and some have special dispensation for larger open wheel events in consultation with Speedway Australia.
      Tracks that have exemptions for 24 sprintcars or speedcars that I'm aware of are Sydney International, Perth Motorplex and Warnambool.

      Well then, that makes a 410 Sprintcar a bit of a waste. They'd be much better of racing Midgets or Quarter Midgets.
      Anyway, they only put it up for the Formula 1 Carnival to role through town. Which is sad, because they've already got a perfectly good Speedway in Adelaide that hasn't been used for years. Just sitting, waiting, watching, for what I or why I don't know, but it's the only Capital City in Australia that doesn't have a Speedway.

    • @frenzalrhomb6919
      @frenzalrhomb6919 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @SelfEvident
      Absolutely, but a 1/5 mile? That's a place for some exciting Midget racing, and a 1/4 mile "Bullring" can bring the absolute best out in a driver.
      But down here in Australia, the one thing we don't have anymore, that I sometimes ache for, is an Australian East Coast 1/3 mile dirt track. We still have two left, but they're both on the West Coast of Australia, one in Perth, and the other in a town called Bunbury. I think that the 1/3 mile format is the perfect, not to big, not to small kind of size that just bring out what the big 410s bring, and that's raw power.
      If we don't get at least another 1/3 mile track over on this side of the country, we may as well go back to limiting ourselves to 360s again, and be done with it. And let's face it, a 360 does everything that a 410 can on a bullring, and they're every bit as exciting as the 410s, and it would also shave a lot of cost from the week to week expenses of any race team. And on top of that, it would open up the field to a lot of new talent, that might not otherwise be able to afford to go racing.

    • @m3lmann
      @m3lmann 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      In Australia we hold the white flag out, and we wave the chequered flag. Reason being it’s easier for drivers know which flag they are getting if it’s held straight or being waved. From personal experience, sometimes a waving white can look like a waving chequered, so I’m grateful we do it this way.

    • @lukmaanpratomo6866
      @lukmaanpratomo6866 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's the same here in Indonesia with also the same reasoning.
      We hold the White Flag/Lap Last flag out and wave the Chequered Flag for almost every type of motor racing. Except for Yellow Flags. Those we definitely wave.
      I guess it merely comes down to each country's Flag Showcase procedures. But the flag color language is pretty much universal.

      @raymond3803 No no. Not at all. The current infrastructure simply doesn't let Sprint Cars to exist anywhere near here. It's mostly Rally and Motocross dirt races.
      I'm merely vouching what the guy above me stated that in some countries, the White Flag is merely held out instead of being waved.
