yogesh oza nope, they need someone to smack those 5 2000 page books over their heads so they remember what the basis of their show is. The effects in the show however are awesome.
HOLY SHIT! You, sir, should be given a fucking Oscar for that AMAZING editing. When watching your Wholock video I was legit convinced that it was all official and some guy at BBC made all that. How you recycled all those shots, corrected scenes that didn't fit so that it was a specific setting or making it a different character or just fixing a piece of the character that got blocked by something else.... Just... WOW. Like, seriously, *WOW.* BBC needs to hire you before someone else does, your editing work is PHENOMENAL!
he did a solid work, he knows how to get it done. Then again, it's really not that special among the people in the area that he works on. Look at any episode of say, game of thrones, there is a lot of work done, for longer duration and in every episode accumulating thousands of hours. And no one gave those guys that did the SFX (post proc. editing and other things) an Oscar. And they wont. Because Oscar is only or the movies, not for series :)
I guess im asking the wrong place but does any of you know of a way to get back into an Instagram account?? I was stupid lost my account password. I would love any help you can give me!
@Westley Titan thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
@@rlg_1230 i think outwardly they would say it's great excetra and as a art form its incredible but inwardly i think they would terrified of this, can you imagine in 10-15 years time, studio's owning the rights to a characters image in your likeness and just putting you in the movie like this with zero imput from you. kinda like what they did with carrie and Peter Cushing in star wars.
Coming from a background in Photoshop, it's easy enough to-say-replace a person's clothing, change a background, or merge a face from another shot in a still image. But I am dumbfounded that it's possible to do for video. Obviously it's not as easy as it looks in a breakdown like this, but it just _looks_ so simple yet _seems_ near impossible.
It's pretty simple with the right editing tools. After all, how else would the TARDIS disappear and reappear? And how would they have gotten all 11 Doctors(and the War Doctor) into the 50th special otherwise? I have to agree with you, though. It is definitely difficult to do something like this.
SpockTheDalek to be fair making the TARDIS dissapear and reapear is one of the easiest VFX to do, all you need to 2 film shots, one with Tardis and one without, then mask the tardis from the shot with the tardis and layer that over the non-tardis shot, then just mess with the opacity of the tardis and add the sounds
Although this all looks extremely hard and impossible to do, it is VERY simple once you know how to do it. It just takes a long time. Basically of you know how to do all of these effects in photoshop on still images, chances are you know how do it on video also. A lot of the time you do an effect on a single frame and the program tracks every frame and syncs it all up so that effect can be brought over onto all the other frames automatically.
Its even more impressive seeing the things you changed that one takes for granted, by which I mean; Of course, The footage of Sherlock and The Doctor are composites, but stuff like changing Sherlock from his dressing robe into his suit and cut-and-pasting The Doctor's jaw and mouth are awe inspiring.
This guy is brilliant, he took and created something Fantastic frame by frame. just wowwww.... wowwwwwww. You deserve the highest medal for making this Original video.
It's not quite frame by frame. He used Adobe After effects or some other FX program and I am assuming he used rotoscoping to cut the original footage.Basically, it's like the lasso tool but for videos and much more effective and accurate

+ISM ZAM Exactly. You remove the background from the foreground (in this case Sherlock). It's a hard and lengthy process, which can drive VFX-artists crasy sometimes.
Tike LeSpike Yes, and the colour correction was also amazing. Somebody likes After Effects. What do you think the 3d model of the TARDIS was made in. 3DS max, blender or C4D? some good textures in it. Or was it just using element 3D? I need to know.
THIS IS FANTASTIC! i love and appreciate all the work in this! one tiny thing. when he was walking toward the TARDIS... things back-lit have a bit of a halo type effect from the light bouncing slightly off their sides... so sherlock would have had the light passing through end strands of his hair like a halo, the edges of the rest of him would have been just a bit lighter. ... other than that this was really really remarkable!
This...this is madness!! I though what I could do in Photoshop was magic but this...this is something. Seriously! Use these talents for something other than TH-cam! (that is of course if you haven't already, in that case good luck to you all the way) Alons-Y!!

I agree, I am a little upset that it is a forgery but still, dame fine job you had me fooled.
BBC did hire him, he made the doctor who series 10 trailer!
ericbazinga same I was excited because I thought that it was real at the time this is top grade quality work
If this did not get you a six digit salary job, I'm punching somebody
Well he's working on Sherlock (like the actual show) now doing vfx, so it at least got him somewhere
Work for the BBC, doubt it's six figure...
Either way I'm 99.9% sure that the new sherlock teaser was done by him
Which sherlock teaser? Can you link me?
i don't know who you are but i wish you an Oscar in editing! this is the best edit i have ever seen and its extremely clever of you

Indeed

@Westley Titan it did the trick and I now got access to my account again. Im so happy!
Thanks so much, you saved my ass!
One would need a Tardis for the time this took to edit.
maybe you're on to something…
Yeah....xD
I would like to see the reaction of the actors XD
guillermolmr that’s what I was thinking!!
that would be great

The Anonymous Potato They're name isn't actually John XD john smith is the name the doctor goes by when he uses a human name
Oh.

+Ken Vermount season 5 the next doctor

They did! He created the black hole in World Enough and Time and the William Hartnell footage to David Bradley transition in Twice Upon a Time.
