- This is a version, an audio book if you please, of The Poem of Helgi Hiorvardsson, found in the Poetic Edda. In its usual form it is rather incoherent, but this new version has been arranged to make more sense on this norse mythology, and its tale of love and death involving a valkyrie.

Are there any other stories for the Eddas you would like to hear?
The tale of the ship of the Gods would be nice to hear Skidbladnir or Skithblathnir,
@@garytucker8696 Yes, I agree, I've written that on the list, it may be some weeks away but I'll do that
This has been a delight. [appreciated] to the core. 🎅

Have you read the Hollander Elder Edda translation?
I have not, I tend to use Larrington's version first, and then wander between other versions if I need to see other perspectives on the text. It does have good reviews, how would you rate it?
@@Crecganford Hollander Edda is my favorite, but Chisholm/s version has good commentary at the end of each lay. The only Prose Edda I have read is the Everyman edition.
@@othroerirkindred6304 I will take a look at it, and agree that the Everyman version of the Prose Edda is really the only one worth reading, or the Upsala version by the same author.
