A timeless and wonderful song and it goes deep under the skin seeing and hearing this intimate version after the sad news of Bruce's departure. God bless him and I hope that he finds a great place in the next world! My sincere condolences go to his family and closest friends.
Matt and I are so very sorry about losing our great musician and singer friend. WE knew his dear wife Kim and her sisters the Andersons whom I was very fortunate to be their Highland Dance teacher! RIP Bruce!
„But as long as I can see the morning and miraceles much more than I can say, it is enough to keep me still believin‘…. That we all will see us again to listen to the Songs and the wonderful voice of you and Runrig, thank you for all you did, RIP
I watched the the Sky Arts documentary about Runrig & what an extraordinary story. The chances of them ever making it seemed slim to zero then the chances of them reinventing themselves likewise. Bruce was obviously a huge part of why they were able to carry on. Fabulous singer & frontman. Seeing him singing this song with his weans is special.
Haven ,t seen the documentary , not sure what you meant by "making it" Runrig definitely had made it, agree about the chances of them reinventing themselves was slim, Bruce was definitely a huge part in the band carrying on.
What I mean is there wasn't a huge amount of enthusiasm from record labels in a Gaelic singing rock band. They did it the hard way building up their own fan base until they could not be ignored any longer. Having hit singles and being on TOTP's seemed highly unlikly but..................@@DM-jk1ds
Even as a Welsh ex-pat living in England, I feel privileged to have seen Runrig live with Bruce 4 times. I don't know why I never learned of Bruce's death until this week in June 2024 but I was shocked and saddened.
Bruce will be in "Tir na Nog", the land of the ever young, singing to his heart's content, awaiting his friends and loved ones! May he sing with the angels.
Why did almost NOBODY come and watch this until after Bruce died? At least almost nobody commented until after Bruce died. 5 Comments before he died one when his death was imminent. 30 something comments post death. It proves you don't know what you got til it's gone.
Bruce is such a great name, rather originates from Brix (though is rather Norman French Bruis or Brus) from Brix where Robert de Bruis in the 1000s originating from Normandy in France, being a descendant of Clan myself my great grandfather my grans (my fathers side) was Andrew Bruce so.... Still in Scotland is regarded as House of Bruce than it is a Clan or just a clan lol, interestingly enough Robert de Bruis isn't known to have stayed in Scotland though founded Gisborough Priory close to Middlesborough as it is now sort of between Saltburn and Redcar on the coast (North Sea) and between those places and Middlesborough in North Yorkshire where I'm from. Thanks ever so much and you take great care lad bless ya huggsss :) Is the clans coat of arms have as my image haha
@@agnesmason8878I don't actually know come to think of it off, I dont think so though lol (I honestly don't know lol), it doesnt say I dont think anywhere be interesting if he was born there though!
