For an average Pokemon they managed to give him loads of personality in this fight, its great.
I like to think if Goro won this, he'd walk about 3 steps before encountering another wild Machamp.

There's a strong possibility the Machamp was trying to train with Goro and Goro was misunderstanding.

That’s honestly terrifying considering he literally deconstructed his entire body with 2 punches at once
you'd think in a DEATH battle, Prince Goro would have the advantage. But even if we ignore Pokedex and Trading Card "facts", in gameplay Machamp can perform the Seismic Toss on Celesteel and Cosmoem, both of which have an official weight of 2204.4 lbs. I don't think any Shokan can match that.
@Patient Devil here's something else to consider: Satoshi Taijiri has said that when battling, Pokemon actually pull their punches. To them it's just a friendly competition. If they were to actually use their full power, the fights would be extremely violent and even deadly.

I love the fact that Machamp's extra arms (From a biological standpoint) are significantly better suited for fighting the Goro, despite it making Machamp look a bit goofy
Indeed. The Shokan's secondary arms look like they are intended as help to the primary ones rather than be an equal addition, because it doesn't seem like Goro's bone structure would support as much stress on his lower arms as it could his upper ones, while a Machamp has two full sets of shoulders, and a torso twice as thick, in order to use all four arms in equal capacity.

Let's also acknowledge the fact that a Pokemon, a POKEMON, beat a character that has fought for centuries as the champion of Mortal Kombat...and Machamp isn't even a legendary Pokemon! (he is when it comes to trying to evolve a Machoke, since trade evos are ridiculously annoying!)

Literally everyone in that world does though.
To be fair, most wild Pokemon are shockingly amicable and almost never attack people with their full power and under their own volition. That, and humans in the Pokemon world are FAR more durable than humans irl (Jesse and James routinely walk off blasts strong enough to launch them over the clouds, which would equal over 30 tons; that's MORE than enough force to reduce any irl human into a red smear in one go, yet humans in Pokemon just walk it off like it's nothing with only minor bruises).
I take it you've never looked at the lore of pokemon in detail. Just look at pokemon like Chadelure and Shedinja, both pokemon that will literally destroy your soul if you look at them wrong, or Banette, which is a pokemon that seeks its child that abandoned it to get some form of unspecified revenge on them.

I think he decided to massacre goro once he used weapons and the abilities that machamp don't use, like the fire breath.

Really tho I like that animators/writers realised that Machamps arms are anatomically positioned in a way that makes his extra arms a lot more practical for fighting and grappling.
If a machamp had the same sword skills as zoro from one piece it could use 5 sword style

I love how Dynamic Punch seems so ingrained in Machamp's muscle memory that you see even his missing arm move during the attack.

Well, I felt bad for the trainer who was going to catch him until he discovered that Goro wasn't a Pokemon.
Machamps arms set up is actually the best way to put 4 arms on a humanoid. It gives him 4 shoulders, so he has 4 as with omni-directional capable movement. They are also positioned not to interfere with either set in use.
It looks weird but it's actually a great design.
I had a similar thought! It oddly looks much more functional than Goro's set-up, since he has his extra pair of arms just kinda awkwardly sticking out of his midsection. They look like they were surgically attached, rather than a natural part of his anatomy. With Machamp, you can see how its musculature is all connected in a plausible way.
I prefer my four armed humanoids to have four pecs.

If you watch the part around 13:24 were Machamp rips off Goros arm in slow motion, you’ll notice Machamp doesn’t just throw Goro and yank off his arm in one motion. He throws him first, lets go briefly, then grabs his arm again, causing it to tear off when he yanks it. Gotta love the little details.

Honestly, I agree, that was one of the better fights of death battles, and it had such a story as Machamp. I will say tho, I don't think machamp can move a mountain we saw them struggling to lift rocks at 8:11 its fine its a cool fight

I just noticed that during the fight there are 3 vague rounds, imilar to mortal kombat.
The first ends with machamp seismic tossing goro, the second ends with goro throwing machamp fhrough the wall, and the third ends with machamp uppercutting goro to death.

This is one of the most hardcore crossovers I have ever seen! The commitment to the characters, the flawless animation and the remix of Pokemon VS Mortal Kombat music had me completely invested. The world needs more of this! Huge props to the team behind this masterpiece!
I like how Goro thinks Machamp is a deformed Sho kan (Sorry MK fans if i misspelt it ) and Machamp thinks Goro is just a demormed machamp

True, but TBH if I had to debunk one thing its the fact Seismic Toss isnt a planetary fall, if you use it in the Battle Tower in Pokemon Sword it shows that the Pokemon is only thrown a pretty long range, but not enough to be considered planetary. Its comparable to Noob Saibot's Teleport Slam move. But it still doesnt matter in the end cuz Machamp has alotta other moves to dispatch Goro.

I really like how Machamp, minus his regular punches and throws, only really uses four distinct moves throughout the fight: Knock Off, Seismic Toss, Rock Smash and Cross Chop. I know that the 4 move limit is more game balancing than anything, but I still thought that was cool. You could argue some more, like his finisher being a Dynamic Punch or some of his throws being Submission, but he only uses four that you could undeniably call distinct moves as opposed to regular old punching and the like.
And close combat for his final move
If you notice, Machamp's arms are more versatile being positioned better. Both sets of arms have shoulders, unlike Goro, and unlike Goro, these shoulders allow for Machamp to move his arms in a semi sphere like any normal person. Goro's bottom arms appear to either have no shoulders, so movement is mostly straightforward, literally, or they are in his skin, which will hurt him from the inside out so let's assume the former. When they start fighting, you can even see machamp turn around and flip Goro over his body.
well said my friend. i honestly don't know how the battle would've gone if machamp didnt activate guts tho. i feel that machamp still would've won due its incredible power and speed in his punches

Hey I just realized the animation is basically a 3-round fight like in Mortal Kombat. First round ends after Machamp divebombs Goro. Second round ends after Goro throws Machamp through a wall. Third round ends in a fatality.

A Pokemon isn't bound by 4 moves FYI that's a gameplay mechanic, just like how a Digimon isn't bound to 1 like in Next Order and DB characters aren't only bound to 3 or 5 like in Budokai and somewhat of XV.
We literally saw in the anime they can go beyond that

Seismic Toss is shown in the anime and in Pokén tournament to grab the opponent then launch upwards to utilize gravity for the damage.

God Machamp was animated with so much PERSONALITY. This was just a fun match to watch, it reminded me a lot of the Almight vs Guy fight, only Machamp someone carried the personality of BOTH of them.

A battle, with connections literally being they have four arms, is one of the best imo. Good animation, fun fight, music that sounds like someone screamed Mortal Kombat before a Pokémon battle. It’s great.

After a couple years it’s still one of my favorite fights you guys have made. The animation is just top notch, the humor is good, and overall the choreography was unlike any other fight. Amazing!

That’s why I always raise my wobbuffet from a wynuat and keep encore over destiny bond.
It’s a perfect move for counter/mirror shield combos
