This have seriously became one of my favorite live performances from them EVER. Their vocals, the back up singers, the band... everything was perfect. I believe they said they want to wait until later or until they're back to perform RUN BTS because they want to really feel up for it.

It was an awesome performance, and the fact that they used an abandoned water park as their set backdrop, just makes so much more awesome as it ties in with their ongoing themes of sea and desert imagery they use in their music. Looking forward to their live stage for Run BTS, hope they get the rest they all need.

Best live performance ever 💜 They seem to enjoy so much this set with the live band and backing vocals. It was so groovy and their voices shined so bright during this live they were so clear to hear, no backup track, no effects in the voices. They improved so much. And Yet to come with Anderson Paak was an other level he added so much depth to the sound with his abilities at the drums. Live band is definitly something else, wish they could always perform with a live band even in concerts. Gorgeous performance 🥰💜
They sound so amazing in this performance! Vocally it’s one of their best performances to me. The only live performance of Run BTS to date is JK on Vlive after so many begged him. You can imagine he had trouble covering all of the parts as 1 person but he honestly did a really great job.
I don't think I have every known of a group where ALL of the members are so extraordinarily talented. This is what makes them so unbeatable when the all come together. I hope all of their single endeavors are appreciated and do well.
The Beatles? I meant there are plenty of groups where all the members are talented in their own way. I also think one doesn't end up being in a kpop group without having some ounce of talent. Now whether they can hold their own as a soloist is a different story.
Silk Sonic beat BTS out for this year's Grammy, best duo. I love the sportsmanship BTS always displays, and Paak being there is significant. BTS is always several steps ahead the rest.
Silk Sonic did win some Grammys this year but they weren't nominated in BTS category this year. Doja Cat and Sza won the grammy against BTS, not Silk Sonic. Silk Sonic's song wasn't considered a pop song that's why it wasn't nominated in the pop duo/group performance category.
Finally, so glad you did this. My favorite performance of their’s theses days. The band always brings such a cool energy to them. Definitely my fav version of “Born Singer”.
Coming back to this performance weeks after they announced their break, and actually really paying attention to what they are saying with all the context of their words during the Festa Dinner that was filmed just a few weeks after this Live performance, THEN listening to and reading the lyrics of “For Youth”... ah the tears. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not crying because they’re on a break. Based on the words that came from their own mouths, they really needed this break for their own mental, emotional, and creative health. This performance was filmed in a now-closed amusement park called Rock-A-Hoola Waterpark. It is in Southern California near the desert city of Barstow. The scenery is spooky-cool!💜

And well BTS is having a global concert in Busan South Korea in October and I'm sure they will perform it then. RM said they know fans want to see it performed but they didn't feel right doing it right now with the mindset they currently have.

They’re not going to perform Run BTS until their next comeback/concert as a group (and I’m not talking about the concert in Busan this Oct - I think that’ll just be a showcase on behalf of the bid). They said they’re not in the mental space to perform the song yet and at the time of the Festa, the choreo wasn’t finished. Closest we’ll have for a live version is on JK’s last VLive where he sings it for Army.

They couldn't on tv because the same outdated media morality which made Jungkook cover his tattoos objected to the certain lyrics in Run BTS. Sad but not having performed something which they know has been both well received and allows them to do some retro early BTS flavored material may have been part of the decision to reunite for an October performance.

Yes, Highland Park is a tragedy with all too many antecedents in a dysfunctional family and a dysfunctional government bureaucracy. Can only hope the survivors find peace and government makes the necessary adjustments to minimize its recurrence wherever that may be.
