how did you empty all the paint in the hose before you flush it ?

Thanks, so you replaced the stock suction hose to a straight one to go straight down. Thinking of making a cart like the Graco Magnum Cart for my Avanti.

Notice you are using a Graco contractor gun . Does the stock gun from the sprayer suck ?

No the gun is decent but I have had the graco contractors gun for maybe 20ish tears and have accumulated a lot of different tips, guards and inline filters so it's more practical to use them than buy a whole new set. The gun that comes with it is very similar to the old graco of the 80's

@@affordableelegance1196I noticed you were using a two finger gun. What model is that? I had considered replacing my avanti gun with a Graco S3 but would prefer a good two finger gun if I can find one reasonably priced.

A lot of reviews say that sprayer over sprays like crazy. Surprised to see you dont have much over spray on you. Must be user error on their part lol.

A lot of the over Spray especially on the user has to do with a few factors like tip selection pressure and distance. Often new users will be using too much pressure and will be too close to the work surface causing lots of bounce back of material. I guess it's really something that takes some time. Try to read your project by looking at the problems and figuring out what can be done to minimize each one until you get a smooth setup and work flow then the rest will take care of itself. Thanks for the comments 🙂

You're going to blow up someones house doing what you're doing. First you're spraying lacquer through a Harbor Freight airless that is not rated for lacquer, the manual clearly states nothing hotter than mineral spirits should be used in this airless. Second you have your airless in the same room you're spraying in. Third you are plugging and unplugging the power cord in the room you sprayed in. All three of these things can cause an explosion if there is solvent vapor present in the air. Nobody should be taking advice from this guy. I've sold airless equipment and paint for over 20 years and seen first hand painters who have died and caused explosions because they were doing the exact same things you are doing. Get the right equipment and learn how to use it. Better yet find another profession.

You are right on a lot of points. As you can see by how clean my rig is. I never have the pump unit in the same room I'm spraying I was demonstrating the clean up process. this why we have hoses. Also when I spray I set up a 42 inch 2-stage exhaust fan. This pump lasts about 300 hours before seals wear out but with the extended warranty I usually only pay $50 ish dollars. I used only graco for years but have found other cost effective ways to accomplish the same outcome. I'm sorry if this makes you bitter and compelled you to pass judgment upon my abilities based on a single video. Please feel free to direct viewers to your channel. I'm not selling anything I'm simply trying to show how I clean my rig this wasn't a safety video. The doors and windows were open and as a professional you know that one quart of thinner in a lage home is not going to combust in a well ventilated area. Why is such a seasoned professional watching such basic videos anyway.
