I discovered Tennis 2 years ago, and it opened up a whole new world to me. I've always been a football fan since I was a kid, and discovering such an elegant sport with so much education and humanism. I will not forget the first time in a court in Davis Cup, and everyone was silent when the players begin to play, it was mind-blowing! I love that the players get to talk, how they talk and express themselves. It´s always so human and personal! Beginning to watch tennis and seeing all the players, I almost immediately sympathized with Jannis, this shy but with character, elegant, well-mannered and fun guy, who also has such an aggressive play style. The more I know him, the more I like him, with his peculiar combination of personality traits, and his values - family, humbleness, down-to-earthness (even tho he's wearing Gucci and stuff lol). It's been tough and probably weird time for us, Jannis followers, and maybe for him as well, deep down inside, as he didn't reach the French Open title, but at the same time clinched the 1st spot in ATP ranking as the first Italian in the history. Wow, such a deserving moment, and I'm so happy for Jannik. I will be suffering and enjoying so much the career of this guy, I think. P.S: for all those who are still debating if he's Italian or not, please, just let´s enjoy this guy and forget about the flags for a while. “There is much more to being a patriot and a citizen than reciting the pledge or raising a flag.” - Jesse Ventura said.
