It's always interesting to see how people handle situations that are common place for them, yet are utterly alien to me--a year ago, I couldn't even begin to imagine how I'd pull a sheep out of a muddy boggy area. And yet, it seems like no matter what you do in life, there's always going to be someone who's never even had a lick of experience who;s an expert suddenly.
The sheep looks so sick and had to be so sick to get noticed to finally get the treatment .. that too it doesn’t look satisfactory! Sunburns, maggots, flies, half shaven .. old and weak
I believe he has 20+ years of experience in this field. who are you to question his actions? he eats more salt than you eat bread in your entire life. bring sheep home? sheep are not dogs, wide field and flock of sheep is their home.
Imagine what flystrike was like before that spray stuff. Everytime you shear a fleece, some more flies would just come right back. Thank god for modern veterinary care and products, amiright?
A sheep can go from perfectly healthy to this sort of condition in only a few days. Our farm is about 1000 acres, and has 1000's of sheep, we do our best to keep an eye on them through out fly season.
@FarmWithMeNZ you guys do a wonderful job with your farm and all the animals on it are well taken care of. I didn't know how fast fly stryke could get that bad so fast. Your on it tho making sure them sheep well.. It's a lot of work. There is no 9-5 for farmers... Thank you for getting back to me.
I'm no farmer but my Mother was raised on a farm, so she had some farm knowledge. Have you thought about using essential oils to replel those horrible flies and maggots.@@FarmWithMeNZ
@@kimberleyblake8129 that would be way more stressful than returning to her flock. Sheep are herd animals, being isolated is extremely stressful for them. She’ll recover best with the rest of her flock.
Of course, I know what this man is doing. I'm watching all the videos for goodness sakes. Did I say he wasn't doing a good job? If I said it that didn't come out right. I love this guy. That's the reason I watch him he's very intelligent. I'm learning a lot.
This farmer owns thousands of sheep. Tending to each and every one is no easy feat that takes little to no time. You don't get to tell someone how to do their job behind a screen. How about you just block the channel and move on?

That sheep is in a terrible condition, clearly had been neglected for too long The job itself is sloppy, some patches of fleece still hanging on her side, no shearing margin around the entire flystrike area, etc.
