- Hey guys! Today I wanted to show you how I clean my paintbrushes after oil painting to keep them in good condition. I know this can be the "not so fun" part of painting, but it's important to take care of your brushes so you're not in constant need to replace them! I'll also show you how you can keep your oil paint palette wet & workable over the course of several days.

My paintings are heavily inspired by the ocean, my travels and natures beauty. I'm a seascape and landscape artist painting in a mostly realistic style, using oil paints as my medium. I post weekly tutorials, painting time lapses, art advice and tips, along with artist vlogs & travels where I share a bit more of my life as an artist. I'm so excited and grateful to share my passion for painting with you guys!

Can I use the regular safflower oil purchase in the grocery store?
You can, as well as olive oil, walnut, avocado. Most oils will help to get the oil paint pigments out of your brushes. :)
That’s a little extreme isn’t it? How often do you have to do this?
