I like how the design sticks out from the surface of the piece. Will these rubber stamps work with the Art Clay Copper too? I know the copper is more rubbery. I found I couldn't really make sculptural pieces with it when I tried to press designs into it with a tool to make leaf veins.
Yes, these textures can be used with any soft clay. Here is a link to our textures. For the texture used in this video click "Jewelry Artist Elements" on the top left. www.cooltools.us/Textures-s/1986.htm
I love this! When you say dehydrator- is that a food dehydrator? Also- did you put the final piece in the kiln behind you or does it finish another way? BTW thank you for the vid! I love love love your silver rings! I would like to make my own.
Hello, you can find the dehydrator used here: www.cooltools.us/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=ACC-705 The final piece is fired in a kiln to become fully sintered. Thanks for the question!
Hi Paula, this is EZ960 Sterling Silver Clay. The only way to fire it is inside of a kiln at 1675°F for 2 hours. There are many tabletop kilns that you can purchase at a fair price. Love it! What is the name of that clay? And is there another method to curing it other than a kiln?

Would a lentil hold up with being torch fired? or does this need to be done with a kiln? (using clay that can be torch fired :)
Hello, we always recommend firing lentils in a kiln. Hope this helps!
Thank you!! Lovely & you make it look so easy. I assume this will work with PMC3 or Prometheus clay. I'd love to try it in copper.

CoolToolsVideos thank you
Love this but can you torch this if you don't have a kiln?
Hi Shelle, torch firing EZ960® is technically feasible but we do not recommend it. Have a good day!
What is the advantage of a dehydrator over a hot plate?
Hi Nadia, pieces generally take a shorter amount to dry in dehydrator compared to a hot plate. Thanks for watching!
do you lay the lentil flat on your kiln in some type of firing media?
Hello, we would recommend firing this in a dish of either alumina hydrate or finely crushed vermiculite for support. Hope this helps!
Is there ever a problem with a hollow piece like this caving in when firing?
Hi Stephanie, because the piece is contained it will not collapse. Have a good day!
