Really good movie ! Bumped into this by accident, watched a couple of minutes, got hooked, watched it all, found out it was based on a true story ! Story of friendship and Rock&Roll. Respect man ! That's exactly what true friends are and what they do for their friends.
Same here. After movie I google and WIKI Gram Parsons. Didn't know this all actually happened between Parsons and Kaufman. It is crazy how this all played out. Stealing coffin from the airport and driving across the country with the coffin. Just to fulfill a pact and Parson wishes. What a great movie.
I’m glad they are paying homage to Graham ❤❤ I loved hearing his music throughout the movie. He may have hated the term Southern Rock, along with Greg Allman, but he’s one of the founding fathers. RIP Graham Parsons, you are loved and missed.
what a film. it all works out when we come to true amazing grace in His forgiveness and friendship. I should know I was taught to reject Jesus as a Jew, but came to Him and read my Bible every day and pray to know and do His will, amen. best to all, thank you
Have thoroughly enjoyed the 349 random seconds I've skimmed through so far. Will check back in when I'm high AF and have the proper attention span to enjoy this fine piece of art.
Love his ice cream trike. Christina Applegate, I did not expect that lol. She is very good at overkill drama. Was born in 1960, the 70's was the best time to be alive and a young man. Might not agree with everything but i can relate. Thats a lot more than people today can say.
I too was born in 1960 and I'd like to say the 70's was the best decade of my life. To be alive during the 70's is to know how the best music sounds. And what rock and roll really is.
Whenever I watch an American movie I'm always appreciative that it's Dubbed In English (I'm English). Hey I was born just 2 days before that Graham Parsons, we were 26 when he died. I listened to those tunes at university in 1965
This wasnt called The Last Wish when i saw it years & years ago. It was called Grand Theft Parsons because it is true. It's about musician Gram Parsons and the roadie he asked to burn his casket when he died. That is now famous Michael Shannon as "the hippie". I think its all in the descript. I wonder why they changed the title.
Lead page says this copy is DUBBED IN ENGLISH. Meaning this is a foreign language version, so you can expect changes, edits, and mistranslations. There is a shot in the opening that does say GRAND THEFT PARSONS anyway.
This Adventure Comedy - Last Wish definitely caught my eye. A road trip to fulfill a friend's final wish to be cremated in the desert? Sign me up! Sounds like a hilarious and heartwarming story with some good twists. Johnny Knoxville as the road manager? That's some interesting casting! I'm curious to see how he pulls off a dramatic role. Michael Shannon alongside him as a hippie? This could be comedy gold. Definitely adding "Last Wish" to my watchlist! Thanks for sharing, Storyverse Lab!
The film is enjoyable the first time you watch it, shows humor in its long-term plot, and the characters in the film always impress with their expressions.
is a film that combines comedy and drama in a refreshing and entertaining way. With an exciting plot and captivating characters, this film will take you on an adventure full of laughter and heartwarming moments.
I was 16 or 15 when we bought Gram Parsons first album. We didn't know he was already dead. (pre-internet) I say, "we" because we all shared our cassette tapes. We went nutz! That dude turned on 3 music fans to alt-Country and opened up vistas to a bunch of dumbass kids who just loved American music. He was one dude, but he was HUGE influential. Not sure if he wanted it that way?
Truth is stranger than fiction. What a great story and movie. Knoxville hit a homer with this one. Shelton he pretty girl from Scream and the girl from Married with children were a big bonus. Forster was perfectly cast for this.
Yeah, where do you go when each day just gets darker and darker, and the light at the end of the tunnel turns out to be a bug zapper. Dying is easy but I never did anything the easy way
Don't recall that car or girl in the thumbnail being ANYWHERE in the movie still a cool film. Small but top cast especially Christina applegate raaaa...
The last wish to be cremated in the desert is somewhat strange, but nevertheless the friend is ready to fulfill it. The film "The Last Wish" is worth watching.
One of those movies I put on for just a minute as background noise and ended up getting sucked into the whole thing. Super awesome movie with good actors a good story and it's all true
Cremation is a huge hustle. It destroys the spirit body we each need after passing. It is horrrifically painful and reduces the spirit body to an ounce or two of ectoplasm. Permanently. I hope you believe me. Please dont ever do this to yourself or another.
And I guess being a decaying corpse buried in the ground is going to make any difference as if your soul is still there after your death for some particular set time as your body turns back into dirt over time? "Ashes to ashes, Dust to dust.." You believe what you want to, but don't go pretending to know the answers to something of which you know nothing about and is purely your assumption.. Burials and cremations of all sorts have been done all throughout history by various cultures.. I hope you believe me.. Please don't ever do this to yourself or another.. Genesis 3:19 "By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return." Genesis 18:31 "Now that I have been so bold as to speak to the Lord, though I am nothing but dust and ashes..." Ecclesiastes 3:20 "All go to the same place; all come from dust, and to dust all return."
I don't remember how Dukes of Hazzard went and I don't think I liked Jackasses....but here he is again lol. He plays in Walking Tall too, gonna watch that too
Today was second time I watched this movie titled Last Wish but, first time I watched it the title was Grand Theft Parson. So what is the correct title of this movie?
Grand Theft Parsons 2003, what a ****** awesome movie. Johnny Knoxville, brilliant actor / comedian 😅 Thank you, thoroughly enjoyed watching that !!!!!!!!!! (22/06/2024)
At 46.01 they back over the motorcycle and it's left laying on it's side . At 47.07 they're circling it and the trooper and the cycle is back on on it's wheels . A continuity f-up .
Amazing movie at first 15 mins it was boring and than nice movie to watch... Btw it was true story about 70s American singer Gram Parson.. This movie based on his last wish...
Only about 10 minutes in and I'm getting the strangest feeling that this is some sort of veiled reference to the Babylon working performed by Jack Parsons and L Ron Hubbard as to unleash the spirit of the whore of Babylon.
I think i actually have lost brain cells and time i will never get back this movie is im not sure if i cant say anything nice i will leave it at that and assume all these positive reviews are generated not actual
