  • How BAD was Kendrick Perkins Actually?
Today many know Kendrick Perkins for saying some of sports journalism's worst takes. Well, at least when he talks instead of just acting kinda… weird. But this man is actually an NBA Champion. After a 14-season career, he showed plenty of signs of his talent as a basketball player.
The truth is he was the starting center for one of the best teams in the history of the league, and he earned more than $57 million during his NBA career. But it’s also true that maybe younger basketball fans have not seen him play, and those who have been following the NBA for a while may have forgotten about him due to his mediocre performances. But... in reality... How bad was Kendrick Perkins Actually?
In today's video, we look at How BAD was Kendrick Perkins Actually?
In this revealing video, we take a critical look at Kendrick Perkins' tenure as an NBA analyst and his impact on ESPN. From his controversial comments to his heated debates on shows like First Take, Perkins has been a polarizing figure in the sports world. Join us as we analyze Perkins' questionable takes, including his infamous feud with Kevin Durant and his contentious remarks about LeBron James. With insights into Perkins' time with the Cleveland Cavaliers and his on-air clashes with fellow analysts like RJ, this video exposes the controversies surrounding Perkins and examines whether his contributions to ESPN have been beneficial or detrimental. From accusations of racism to being called out by NBA players like JJ Redick, Kendrick Perkins' journey in the media spotlight is filled with twists and turns. Whether you're a fan or a critic, this video offers a comprehensive exploration of just how bad Kendrick Perkins' impact has been on the NBA landscape.

I remember prime Kendrick Perkins (if you can call it that). He was an adequate role player as a lock down on ball defender. Dwight Howard was quoted as saying he was the toughest to get through and his advanced stats support it from a DBPM and DWS perspective.
I believe fully that if Perkins had not gone down in game 6 of 2010 the Celtics would have had the muscle inside for the mood of game 7.

Coach Spo exposed his usefulness in the 2012 Finals with small ball. Too slow to guard Bosh on the perimeter and putting him on Shane Battier just brought him out of the paint on defense, the one place he was useful. He wasn't a threat on offense so it was basically 5 on 4 in Miami's favor. After that the rest of league started to follow the small ball trend and Perk was no longer useful because BIGs become more like Bosh and less like Dwight Howard.

As a Celtics fan, I was thrilled when we traded him for Jeff Green. Perk was useless. Doc Rivers always used PJ Brown instead of Perkins in the 4th quarter of close games, and in the playoffs. And, no, fellow Celtics fans, we wouldn't have won game 7 in LA, had he not broke his leg. We could've had prime Bill Russell AND Robert Parish as our centers, and the refs just were not going to let us win another Game 7 in LA, like we did in 1969, with all those balloons ready to come down, when the Lakers "won".

Kendrick Perkins: should have been played at the small forward/power forward positions as he would have annihilated/humiliated/embarrassed his opponents [ever improving ball 🏀 handling skills] being 25 pounds lighter than the playing weight during his NBA career. My coaching staff would have won 7 NBA Championships 🏆 ⛳️ with Mr. PERKINS at the forward positions {filling in when needed at center}.
