In this video Heimler covers everything you need to know about AP Human Geography Unit 1 Topic 6 (1.6) which is all about scales of analysis in human geography. You'll need to know the difference between global, regional, national, and local scales AND understand that different scales reveal different patterns.

Could you explain the distinction between spatial relationships and concepts? I never really understood it.

Spatial relationships are physical arrangments & interactions between different geographic features (phenomena). It's basically understanding how objects, places, and people are located in relation to each other in space. Some examples of this are proximity, distance, connectivity, and spatial patterns. On the other hand, spatial concepts are abstract ideas/theories that help us to UNDERSTAND spatial relationships and phenomena. So basically, it's explaining why the spatial relationship is why it is. So for that, you can think of things like diffusion, cultural landscapes, population density, urbanization, and industrialization.
or at least that's what I understood from my teacher - hope this helps :)

The information about large vs small scale maps in this videos seems to be slightly wrong. Small scale maps means that there is a 'smaller' amount of specific detail - a global map would be small scale since you get a very general, undetailed view of a phenomena. A large-scale map would be based around a region - you get more detail when zoomed into a smaller area which results in a large scale map. Correct me if I'm wrong but this is how my teacher (and other resources on APHuG presented it)

this is incorrect; a large scale map would show a smaller region, and therefore a higher amount of information. A small scale map would show a larger region, and therefore a smaller amount of specific information.
