Philippines economy is doing great because Philippines economy has strong fundamental because manufacturing Exports & modern services industries ( BPO, IT, International Call Center) are combined workforce in Philippines, that's the sharp edge of Philippines over Thailand & All South East Asian Countries

So many typical Pinoy crabs here. We come from an extremely poor state of poverty from eating talbos ng kamote with knorr seasoning to become an upper middle class.
That is because of the growing economy accompanied by our hard work. Without a good economy this will not be possible. Ung hindi umaangat ay ung puro reklamo at sisi sa gobyerno at mga tamad.

this is not crab mentality though? crab mentality is that you bring someone who is succeeding down.
this is more like a mixture of pessimism and doubts for possible filipino cloutchasers and expectations of what is happening IRL. while services are accessible,. prices have been all-time high.

@@pingmeup-kk5ns The data presented in this video can be directly verified through the IMF, and the numbers are clear: the economy is growing rapidly.
Poverty won't disappear overnight, and high inflation is a global issue and not confine to PH. However, rather than dwelling on pessimism, we should take heart in the progress our country is making.
The ngaw ngawers are actually part of the problem. Ang gusto instant singapore agad and if not sisigaw ng "asan and pagbabago?" as if poverty can be fixed overnight. Nation building is not like managing a restaurant. The country is grappling with problems of high magnitude; these issues won't be resolved with the flick of a switch.

This is not crab mentality. Kaya nga may kasabihan rich becomes richer and poor becomes poorer. Maraming factor bakit ganito tayo at hindi lahat isisisi sa gobyerno

Change starts when people start to unite and be more hopeful for the future of the Philippines! Let's not question the stats because its true that we are slowly improving but we really need to change our mindset. Also I think people should gather together and clean up the slums and slowly the quality of the air and water will be better and the rest will follow. It will make such a big difference! Philippines is such a beautiful country and I'm very much hopeful and excited to see the future of Philippines. One day Philippines will see its glory like it once was. Mabuhay ang Pilipinas 🇵🇭✨

      Skyscrapers in Manila??
That’s your measure of growth?? Seriously???
I have travelled and lived all over the country
Iv been visiting the Philippines for 30years.
The gap between the rich and the poor has only gotten bigger and bigger over the years.
Millions of people in the provinces still have no clean drinking water.
      Power outages EVERYDAY.
      Poor education opportunities..
      Crumbling roads
Corruption is a sport in the Philippines.
There has been absolutely no growth for the beautiful Philippino people in the provinces..
My heart cries for them …
My dream is to see the Philippino people around the world 🌎 come back home to the country and STAMP OUT THE POLITICAL CLASS AND TAKE BACK THE MONEY THEY STOLE FROM THE PEOPLE. AND GIVE IT BACK TO THEM IN THE FORM OF INFRASTRUCTURE AND SERVICES.
Only then will the Philippines truly grow
Don’t get me wrong not every politician is corrupt in the Philippines
But the good ones are too scared to change anything meaningful because they will get assassinated.
Good bless the Philippines and it’s wonderful citizens

They find it absolutely amazing that they can drink the water from the tap here.
They are blown away that we don’t have power outages. They find it incredible how clean everything is here.
I keep reminding them that the Philippines could be PARADISE ON EARTH but the Marcos’s stole billions from them.
The rewriting of history there is truly breathtaking..
My dream is to build a massive school in my family’s province
And to build a huge greenhouse to farm the land and create a strong yeald for exporting so the profits can go towards roads, bridges, education and any infrastructure needs.
So it starts a chain reaction for the rest of the country to follow.
But I can’t do it on my own.

peso is weak because usd is strong, bakit? its because its the major currency, not just that because of war that is happening in other side of the world.. kya lumakas ang dollar dahil sa kaka print and distribute nila sa pera nila.. at marami bumibili ng mga kagamitang pandigma.. ang oil price tumataas because of this war, kya pati tyo naapektohan pero not as big as the other, dahil kahit papano kya naman ang inflation dahil hindi sobrang taas.. still prices natin dito eh hindi parin sobrang laki.. at hindi lang yan, marami sa mga filipino ngyon nakakabili compared nuon, isa din yan sa kuhanan ng inflation, if marami supply lesser ang price ng mga goods, if lesser supply mas mahal ang bilihin, question unang una may sarili ba tayo gas sa panahon ni dutae? wla, ngyon lang yan nagka project ng marami energy source like solar, nuclear ang option na syang gagawin or ang iba nagawa na ng gobyerno ni pbbm, agriculture wla tyo marami pagkain mostly inaangkat lang natin, kya nga binibigay ni pbbm ang mga lupa ng mga magsasaka at binibreak na nya kada pamilya para maka tulong sa production ng pagkain ng pinas. mag hintay ka dahil we are already there.

Not to mention PHP's weakening purchasing power, impossibly heavy road traffic due to slow infrastructure development, an almost non-existent health care are only few of the problems the average Filipino has long struggle with.

it's frustrating to see the philippine government continuously boast about economic growth when in reality it is nothing great as they may seem to portray
despite positive gdp growth rates, the reality is grim for many. income inequality remains a glaring issue, with the top 1% holding 44.1% of the country's wealth while half the population struggles with just 8.4%. world inequality database
public debt, now at 63.5% of gdp, limits investments in crucial services and infrastructure, which is already subpar-ranking 77th globally in quality. philippine statistics authority, world economic forum
corruption only worsens the situation, with a score of 34/100 on the corruption perception index, deterring investment and wasting resources. transparency international
poverty, though decreasing, still affects 15.5% of filipinos, and the country lags in both the human development index and foreign investments compared to its neighbors
these systemic issues demand serious action yet the philippine government not only fails to take action but also fails it repeatedly while try to gloat and hide, not just rhetoric about growth

Empty activism like yours deserve no merit. Pray tell, what must we do if, as you say, nothing is being done? And if nothing is being done, then how do you explain all the economic development? That Filipinos are very lucky to reap what they didn't sow?
If you think nothing is being done, that's probably because you're not looking closely. You can't even cite a single law! So many key reforms are being passed, and it's benefits are clearly being felt.

I'm tired of the GDP as yardstick. You know, if we’re looking for better ways to measure progress beyond GDP, there are some really interesting options out there. Take the Human Development Index, for instance. It doesn’t just stop at economic stuff like GNI per capita-it also factors in things like how long people live and their education levels. It’s a much broader take on what human development really means.
Then there’s the Social Progress Index, which is kind of refreshing because it skips the economic indicators entirely. Instead, it focuses on things like whether people have access to basic needs, how well they’re doing in terms of overall well-being, and whether they have opportunities to grow and thrive. It’s really about the social and environmental side of progress.
And, of course, there’s the Gross National Happiness, which Bhutan came up with. This one is super unique-it’s all about measuring happiness through factors like mental well-being, health, education, and even how much the culture and environment are being preserved. It’s such a thoughtful way to look at a country’s success.
These approaches make you realize there’s so much more to life than just economic output or the GDP, don't they? I'll believe you when you consider HDI, SPI and GNH instead of GDP.

Fake news inflation are as bad as for housing markets condos are the ones keeping the growth but with 70,000 plus upward to 200,000 vacancies in the metro alone condo units a studio type costing upward to £1000 and up to rent is ridiculous. Prices for these units are in the tens of thousands of philipenis peso. And dont talk about taking loans it would take forever with the ridiculous amount of paperworks. 92-95% of the population lives in shantytown even outranking the Brazilian Shantytown. Consider as the biggest shantytown in the world. They have woerld class bitches but look closely how to gat there the transport system small ferries small airport and a bunch of outdated rusted tuktuks. The growth is mainly due to one the remittance from overseas. Also the non stop construction. Tourrist arrivals are mediocre. Most overseas filipinos are also counted as tourist thats why its a cheat code. Housing are much expensive than thailand vietnam malaysia indonesia and even singapore can have a much better housing price compare to philipenis. Infrastructure forget it. Poor infrastructure poor people equals to shantytown capital.

Not totally because of good fiscal management. As long as the country fights illegal drugs, illegal activities and money laundering, even Philippines will experience a lot of storms. It will be stable. Inflation is everywhere. We can't order local markets to lower their prices, but it can be monitored making sure they're not taking advantage.
