Bakso Recipe & Noodle Soup, How to make Indonesian Bakso Meatballs

  • Bakso is very popular in Indonesia, Most of Indonesian eat Bakso. It's very easy to make and very light, tasty, easy to adjust the taste because you can add any condiments you like, especially chilli sauce! And you can make it yourself too!
    Bakso :
    500 gr Ground Beef / Daging Giling
    1 Egg White / Putih Telur
    1 Beef Stock Cube / Kaldu Sapi
    3 Tbsp Tapioca Flour / Tepung Tapioka
    1 Tbsp Fried Garlic / B. Putih Goreng
    1 Tbsp Fried Shallot / B. Merah Goreng
    1/2 Tsp Baking Powder
    1 Tsp Salt / Garam
    1 C Crushed Ice / Es Batu, Hancurkan
    Soup :
    1000 ml Beef Stock / Kaldu Sapi
    2 Chopped Garlic / B. Putih Cincang
    2 Spring Onion
    2 Thin Sliced Ginger
    1/4 Tsp Pepper
    Salt to Taste

    Was the water in the pot where you put the formed meatball hot? 1:05? Thanks

      Hello, yes it's hot water. You can do it on the stove, turn it off as soon as boiled. It's help to harden the outer layer. If you put it straight into boiling water, it might burst / un-even shape. Hope it's help :)

      @@vansilver1338 It's very easy to find tapioca flour both in UK & Asia. I think the closest to tapioca flour are arrowroot, corn starch and potato starch. Hope it turns out well :)
