I'm really glad I found your channel - looking forward to learning more about the realities of owning and living with a PHEV Niro. I'll be interested to hear your thoughts on the driver assist features if/when you do some good-old gridlock driving. I live in D.C. and just last week drove a total of 200 miles in mostly stop-and-go traffic in my 2013 Sentra. Gotta say the fatigue after a long and physical work day (I work in video production) was adding up real fast as the traffic piled on. One of the days I drove a borrowed 2023 Odyssey and used the adaptive cruise for two hours...the difference was remarkable. Thanks for your work good sir!
Thanks for the nice comment :) Yeah, I have used the adaptive (KIA calls it 'Smart') cruise control in work commute traffic. Very impressed with the tech on board. I'm curious if the snow will immediately disable the sensors and cameras the system need to detect proximity to other cars. I will track it all as time goes.
That’s why these are referred to as driver assistance features. Use it if you want, or don’t! Using SCC (Smart Cruise Control) and LFA (Lane Following Assist) simultaneously, create a very smooth highway driving experience. I know a lot of people are hesitant with all these new tech features and it can become overwhelming. Just know that you can cancel at any time and it’s not going to kill you.

it sounds nice and all but it could become a huge hastle.
it even could get dangerous if you rely on them just a little to much...I personally don't use this 'smart cruise control' much a the moment
