The people moaning that he should be playing the game are completely missing the point. The diversions and rambles ARE the stream, the game is just to fill the gaps, a vehicle to get us to the next diversion.
Columbo's ace. He's based on the philosopher Socrates, an equally disheveled and unassuming man by all accounts, and his questioning style is a perfect example of the socratic method.
More Columbo please, Limmy! One of his biggest fans here. Have the box set but no DVD player. A suggestion- let’s have Columbo Monday’s/any day, all together, an episode every week? Love it love it love it. Thankyou, Gloomy Troon here. 💜🙋🏻♀️✨🏆👑 xxx
It only feels like longer between 79 and 91 because you were still very young then. You wouldn't say the same thing about the distance between 2009 and 2021. When you're younger everything's new and so you feel like you experienced more, which makes it seem like more time has passed. Conversely when you're older far fewer things are new so you feel like you experience less, which makes it seem like less time has passed. It's like when something unexpected happens, like when you drop something, you're brain takes more notice of things in those few seconds, hence the expression 'time slowed down'. It's called the Matrix Effect. The best way to counter this is to try to keep doing as many new things as you can as you get older.
Also, the older you get the less of a percentage a year is of your life. At 1 year old a year is 100% of your life, at 100 years old a year is 1% of your life. Time will comparitively seem to pass more quickly no matter what you do.
Ooooft, I cannot *stand* that crystal waters song 😖 thanks to Limmy for reminding me about something I'd managed to successfully block from my memories 😭

Honestly if we just got a stream from Limmy where he analyses everything Columbo, I'd 100% watch that.
A think if limmy ever met columbo they would have been strange bed fellows.
"Strange bed fellows??"
This comment is suitable for framing.

100%
The way he responded to the "ever had a shite in the shower?" question was just absolute magic.
So glad to hear this! What a joy to discover anew!
"I'm gonnae get on with the game after this."

I heard it that when i was wee and i thought it was the Brazilian footballer. Never questioned it.
Thanks for clearing that up.
I thought he was based on the detective from “Crime and Punishment”?

Upvote for having the box set but no dvd player.
@@set1237 yo, what does upvote mean?
Prisoner Cell Block H sounds like a cutting edge 2024 HBO production, rather than the creaky 1970s set piece light as shite Aussie filler that it was.
just found a torrent with it all in avi, that's my next few months sorted

Lyrics websites have deliberate mistakes cos they don't have publishing rights or summat I heard.
Fucking yesss, get some Columbo on
This and the original 60s Twilight Zone are vintage telly magic
It shouldn't be a surprise that those lyrics websites got it wrong. They are very often wide of the mark.
"Although the fault is not mine" = "although it's not my fault".
Columbo is the GOAT!!

"although her thought is not mine, I ask God why, God why?"
Blahem me gently.
CoLimmybo Cries Blahem!
we need a columbo blahem
'Although the fault is not mine, I ask out 'Why?'....'
Although the fault is not mine I ask God why.
although her THOUGHT is not mine, I ask God why, God why?
@@smoosev89 No. ''Her'' doesn't start with 'th', and ''thought'' doesn't start with an 'F'. Okay? Try again.
