Thanks, great video.! Years ago I did the other fix where the temp control doesn’t work. That’s the middle knob which controls temp either hot or cold. Can be fixed by desoldering and resoldering a 3 wire ribbon cable on the switch. Dorman also sells a kit to repair which I used. Now that kit is around $200, I’d go the solder route.
Do appreciate this video as this is latest issue. I may just try the cleaning. Guessing that’s the issue….bad contacts.

Yeah with mine I guess since I rarely turned the fan speed switch to high corrosion was allowed to build up on the high speed contact..

Hey thank you so much for making these videos. We have an 06. AC fan switch works fine but the radio volume control has issues. Turn it down it gets louder all over the place really. I wonder if it's a similar fix to what you've shown here? Have you ever had that problem? Thanks again, love your channel, very helpful.

Just wanted to share a fix I just found, turn the volume control up and down twisting between fingers for seconds up to a minute, I thought it was a joke but so many comments said it worked I went out and tried it. It worked. Got off enough corrosion. to make better connection I guess.

Yes, for radio if you pull the knob off and spray electric contact cleaner in there , put the knob back on and rotate it for a few minutes (with radio off ) it will work very well.
