I went through the Montana line at the very beginning...Comming from the pre-buff Colorado, the NC was such breath of fresh air...It was amazing! Still one of my favorites.
I feel you, Montana was my first Line too. I'm currently grinding through the Vermont line and it's absolutely miserable. The Kansas feels like such a downgrade compared to the absolutely amazing NC. I'm straight up not having a good time right now...
I comment because you mentioned Colorado. Tier V New York was the battleship that made me fall in love with playing BB, enough to get through Colorado... and eventually get X Vermont as my first BB. I have never regretted getting that BB as my first. I did get NC with the free ship this christmas season, great advice PQ, as you usually give. Thanks for the content.
Also, the in-game comment 13:04 "PQ! in the NC, warms my heart" Some fun people do still play this game. My usual comment is "may the torps be with you".
What? Did you slot dispersion mod on slot 6? It's day and night difference. Telling 27 mm plating cruisers to sod off, flanking and catching broadsides, etc. While still have the speed to go in and out, and the concealment to do so? Yes, the hull eats pens from strange angles, but the consistency of the guns are much better.
I ran the American BB line as my first BB line. I didn't have a great experience .. but years later I realize it was me not the ships. Going back through the line really helped me learn positioning and angling to enemy fire. Its a great starting line to learn BBs .. if you can do well in the American line you can apply that knowledge to every Nation and be a far better player. Cheers PQ
I got the CLR version thinking it would be good to have one with the bonuses. Didn't realize I already put the bonus package on the tech line NC. At least I have one as a captain trainer!
Also got the CLR as it was cheap and as much as i hated the NC grind, i thought it couldn't be as bad as i remembered it. Turns out i really dislike this ship today. After years of playing, having grinded every line and got far better at the game, i still hate this ship. My main issue is the accuracy. For some reason i get the most frustrating/trolling salvos with that thing. It seems the dice rolls the worst thing on every roll. Super slow shells aren't that great too. I have the Roma/Littorio, which are known for their terrible dispersion, but i find it fairly consistent, which makes no sense, considering NC should be similar or better. Iowa and Missouri are a tier higher with similar play styles, but okay ships for me. Montana is a bit sluggish, but of my favorite T10 ships.
I’m re grinding the Montana line and oh boy I missed the NC. It’s not my favourite ship, not even my favourite battleship but it’s the only ship that doesn’t frustrate me. Sure you can have trolling dispersion but 90% of the time if you aim correctly you get rewarded for it. I understand why we need dispersion and RNG but sometimes I wish we could have more ships like this. And this comes from a 50% WR player, not a super unicum that can aim with blindfolds on.
To expand on the dispersion benefit of range mod: My understanding is that it improves vertical dispersion, because the same vertical dispersion is now applied at a higher distance, so at the same distance as before the vertical dispersion is smaller.
Tbh, I choose Schlieffen because I hate to grind as Ziten. BUT, NC is not a bad T8 pic, hence Mexi is horrible. If WG make Mexi a little bit durable like Citadel deck atleast 35mm, I would say the grind is quite solid. Yes, only thing I hate about USN grind is Mexi. Not NY or Colo. Mexi is the worst ship I’ve ever experienced so far. Second close is Ziten. No, I already tried IJN line and I don’t have any issue with it. Nagato is close to my fustration but not as extreme Mexi. British BB line also fine, so does BC. Soviet? I’m not even bother. Too plain for me. French BBs seems solid. Yes, of all BBs I experienced so far. Mexi is the worst of them all. Colorado sounds bad but I don’t struggle with it. Actually I found her being more enjoyable than Mexi.
i received montana alongside tallin through combat missions available a couple or a few years ago and idk i had a hell of a time with NC, I'm sure my skill level at the time had a huge impact but i ended up using free xp to skip probably half? of the grind to iowa, which was 100% worth it, i think iowa is an awesome ship, i have more fun in iowa than i do in montana. I should probably give NC a revisit soon though
NC is where the american line finally goes from ok or outright bad to being incredible. She's a very well balanced ship that hits like a truck. Easily one of my favorite tech tree ships.
Hard agree on the American BB line being really good for beginners - while I've personally had a bit of a hard time in Montana, NC and Iowa are both incredibly fun and powerful ships if you put them in the right place!
Just as an idea, but could you compare Hoffmann to Z-42? Since both are for steel, and have the hydro smoke combo with the better AP over the HE, and are somewhat hybrid with stronger guns. Maybe wrong video, but the Hoffmann review was a week ago so idk if you'll see the comment there :)
Tbh i picked Schlieffen for the higest free-exp reward I can fully research any T8-9 ship with that like...The North Carolina and Iowa to get to Monty Either way it's either picking something you don't have yet or picking something you don't want...or sometimes you can just free-exp through
yeah i chose Schlieffen for the 350k free xp. I can play my way up to t10 eventually on other lines, im at t8-t10 on every single tech tree line, so im close enough to just play the rest
dude i would like to thank you for all videos that you made during this year , first of all it's enjoyable , and i have learned from you alot with your easy way to exxplain the ship or the game play we should play it . i want to ask you can you make USS Benham Plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
About 4 months ago you did a video on CV REWORKS - any updates from that now that they released the Shinano? Unless the Shinano release was just a distraction from WG for not doing anything further to CV gameplay?
If you played the rework, you would noticed it is impossible to balance with jets, hybrids and many others gimmic Cvs. They probably wont change anything.
too bad that you cant choose a T8 if you unlocked the T10 Gift. Wouldve preferred the akizuki because i already have the other TT ships and dont want any CVs/subs
How much FXP do we get for selecting a ship we already have? I qualify for a T10 but don't want any of them. I have Schlieffen and Shima, I refuse to play a CV or sub, and I'm not interested in GL and airstrikes.
I love my NC, the shells are slow, but she hits so hard. I actually like her more than Iowa, honestly. That being said, I've been running into a bunch of them lately where people are sitting back at 23-ish KM slinging HE... it makes me sad. Her guns and AP are so good.
Pity matchmaking at tier 8 is pathetic. Tier 8 is cannon fodder for T10 noobs and wallet warriors. Jerkovs too dense to work out that this stops new players from persevering with the game.
it's not thaaaaaat bad, just play more conservatively with your t8 in t10 games. Im constantly top 3 on my team of t10s while in a t8. shrug. 55% win rate
The nc ap has a 3 business day delivery time
😂😂

@ Kansas was bad. The Vermont, though slow, is worth it. (Those guns!!) And the Minnesota is a decent improvement over Kansas. Hang in there!
prebuff Colorado was rough

Great vid, it explains the NC's quirks in detail. I have more fun in my NC than I do in my Iowa. I appreciate your time in making this!!
Iowa is kinda bad honestly, just a longer North Carolina that is faster. But at t8 NC is one of the best BBs.

if youre good at aiming in long range high tier games, Iowa slaps. If youre used to 16km range t6 BB gameplay, NC is better
I had a hard time on NC, but honestly despite how bad I was at leading with it, it still feels really good
What makes it hard are the uptiers and slow velocity of the guns, other than that she has a lot going for her.
I ran the American BB line as my first BB line. I didn't have a great experience .. but years later I realize it was me not the ships. Just unlocked this today :p Grind was worth it

I FXPed past the Zieten because it's just blah. Schlieffen with Gunther Lutjens with a full secondary/concealment build is HILARIOUS.
@ It’s very cracked with GL. Like seriously, I can sometimes just W+M1 lmao
Some of my favorite Vanilla BB's:
1. Arizona
2. N Carolina
3. Hood
4. Amagi
5. Tie between Monty and Yamato

North Carolina BB is one of my favorites
Auestion, are you going to do a video on the new dutch cruisers?
How do we get it PQ? I just got my T10 reward
If you earned enough points to get the T10 you no longer get the choice to choose the T8, only the T10 options are available to select between.
Grind the line you chose a T10
@@AkT4on bruh

Can you get both the tier 8 and 10?
How to get this ship? I only got tier 10 ship
Same
You won’t. You either get the T8 or the T10 iirc. Depending on how many points you earned in the previous monts
Are you able to claim the T8 if you unlocked the T10 prize? NC was really the only ship I wanted.

Where can i get it from? I dont see it 😅
A Christmas gift you can get for free. How wonderful.
I don't understand what is going on with the free tier 8, how do I claim it? I cant find anything about it in dock. Help please!
6:08 I miss the old ships :( and the team play. I wonder if this game is past its prime
by getting enough points to choose a tier 10 in this event do u loose the choice for a tier 8 ?
I picked the shima for the tier 10. I don’t have a tier 10 dd so it will come in handy.
Whatever you do don’t be a total shima noob and use the 20km torps..
@ I’m not a dd Main at all but I do have enough experience to know that being able to see the torps from the moon is bad lol

I had apparently played enough for the T10, so I went for Shima.. otherwise I would have taken NC..

470k or 490k maybe, I forgot
I got 2 T8 CVs: Colossus and Hornet (Santa Crates) and TX CV Audacious in the Northpole event.
I'm no CV player :(
Stoped at Colorado here. Still my best american BB :D
Virginia 44' soon I hope
how do you get this free ship again?
north pole event that has been going on for the last few months.
I agree. But its been a while since i got 45k in it lol.
Audacios!))
tennessee spoiled me
remember how nc was one of the best aa battleships? ..well....
Reasons to get NC: You can skip the Colorado 💀
Izumo is not a fun ship. So I would recommend the American line.
Fact
Good guns but RnG love to have fun time whit me
Got the balo so I don't have to play that line.
I love my NC, the shells are slow, but she hits so hard. I actually like her more than Iowa, honestly.
That being said, I've been running into a bunch of them lately where people are sitting back at 23-ish KM slinging HE... it makes me sad. Her guns and AP are so good.
I'm sorry but these were paid actors... No way there were that many broadsides just presenting themselves. PQ you gotta stop paying people off
Why do you think he started his TH-cam career? To find the paid actors of course
Is this your first PQ video? He constantly finds the average specimen that plays this game
He plays for hours with a ship and uploads the best of the battles
I've been seeing a lot of potato NCs and Implacables the last couple days but this is par for the course
people are constantly doing gamer turns, you just need to be perceptive enough to catch them.
Unpopular opinion, NC is hot garbage
Terrible armor, terrible guns, and its still slow for its tier
Lots of noobs run the North Carolina I've noticed.
Pity matchmaking at tier 8 is pathetic. Tier 8 is cannon fodder for T10 noobs and wallet warriors. Jerkovs too dense to work out that this stops new players from persevering with the game.

@@paddington1670Just admit that it completely sucks to get up tiered. Thats why I don’t play higher tier randoms anymore.
And skip the Colorado, hell ya!
I’m working for the Vermont line right now. I go the other two bb lines, which means I’ve grind through the Colorado three times.
