Gardens of here and elsewhere - Hanging Gardens of Marqueyssac - Vezac - France

Overlooking the Dordogne valley, the Marqueyssac gardens cling to an imposing rocky outcrop.

Very nicely done, and I particularly enjoyed the music (including Satie) and Alain Baraton's comment that the box topiary fixation at Marqueyssac exceeds mere "folie" (madness) and attains "dinguerie" (craziness).

J'ai eu l'occasion de fréquenter la région et j'en garde de verdoyants et frais souvenirs.
Un très bel endroit qui marque le visiteur.

Ce jardin est exceptionnel : J'irai le visiter dès que je pourrai.
Je ne suis pourtant pas très fan des topiaires à la française...
