It's odd how I only started listening to Grimes when she put out the track 'Vanessa' because that's my name (dumb, I know), but I was immediately hooked, and I love everything she does. She can't not be creative, all the time, everywhere, anyway she can, and I love that about her.
She’s clever. She’s knowledgeable. She writes AND produces her music. At least she did in the past. She deserves great respect. We need more girls like her. And less Kardashian clones.
Yep. I've been infatuated with Grimes (...and very keenly interested in Claire Boucher) for years. Good video by the way- very cool that you started out with her album on vinyl.
Grimes is an amazing artist. I looooove how she expresses herself and how her music is able to grow on people wether they like it or not. Grimes is the future.
I'd like to say that artists who are invested in every part of the creation, not just being the face are who I love. While they're wildly different... Halsey and Taylor Swift are the same way... and I LOVE it, you can feel how much they put into the songs because you feel their emotions, vibe and person in every aspect. I love finding artists who are more than just a voice, or a face. Makes them an artist to me.
Man, I had JUST gotten art angles out of my head... Awesome stuff though! Not sure if there would be enough material for it, but I feel like one of these for James Murphy, the front man of LCD Soundsystem could be interesting.

So they have all these dreams that end up in wasteland
Which really sucks
It's odd how I only started listening to Grimes when she put out the track 'Vanessa' because that's my name (dumb, I know), but I was immediately hooked, and I love everything she does. She can't not be creative, all the time, everywhere, anyway she can, and I love that about her.
who else loves the song “oblivion”OMG I LOVE THAT SONG
❤️
I wish there was a full documentary about her
One day... :)
Wow. I learned a lot about Grimes here. She has much more depth than I had assumed. Looking forward to what she does next
FINALLY INTRODUCONG LOONA
The StrangePlace IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS COMMENT
Sooo accurate 😂😂😂
Lmaoo
I'm loving this series! Thank you for your passion too Jake!
She’s clever. She’s knowledgeable. She writes AND produces her music. At least she did in the past. She deserves great respect. We need more girls like her. And less Kardashian clones.
Everyone whos famous is very clever and knowledgeable. Or they wouldnt be there.
She's so fascinating. I love the way she talks.
Claire is my absolute Canadian queen! I'm so glad to see this and learn you are a fan!
Nice job showing all of her best moments on film
Her music reminds me of Trent reznor in pop..
she said in an interview that he is her biggest influence
...smh
TOOL, and Marilyn Manson were also influences on her. It was either that or N'SYNC back then. Or heaven forbid, Limp Bizkit.
Yup!
SHe has mentioned SKinny Puppy as well
Yep.
I've been infatuated with Grimes (...and very keenly interested in Claire Boucher) for years.
Good video by the way- very cool that you started out with her album on vinyl.
Where did you get the acapella for Kill V. Maim at 2:09!!!!???
Keep this series up, Jake. I'm absolutely in love with it!
this world need to be grateful that she exist
I wish I was this creatively free and able to actually make whatever comes to mind
She is really inspiring and motivating. Love her work
I could listen to her talk all day. So inspiring 👍💪
I'm more obsessed with her the more I here about what she thinks
Grimes is an amazing artist. I looooove how she expresses herself and how her music is able to grow on people wether they like it or not. Grimes is the future.
I’ve watched this so many times in last two days, I may as well mouth the words
I keep coming back to this video of yours. I found it so be inspiring for myself, thank you!
This was in my recommendations, hate to say that I've never heard of her.
But oh man...
she's amazing.
This was a really well done video. Good Job my guy.
💜ALL I DO ALL DAY IS MAKE CREATIVE DECISIONS💜
Thank you so much for this video. So well made. Perfectly captures the artistry and talent of grimes
Na, the average consumer just finds image obsession to be deep. It's really that simple
best video on TH-cam, good work.
Reminds me of kpop idols having a stage name vs as a person inner artist
I'd like to say that artists who are invested in every part of the creation, not just being the face are who I love. While they're wildly different... Halsey and Taylor Swift are the same way... and I LOVE it, you can feel how much they put into the songs because you feel their emotions, vibe and person in every aspect. I love finding artists who are more than just a voice, or a face. Makes them an artist to me.
...I got a playlist of her in the Mark IV suit. Also will listen to her at Stark Tower, Jarvis is very fond of her.
Her music is amazing, her video art.
She is such a turn on.
Man, I had JUST gotten art angles out of my head... Awesome stuff though!
Not sure if there would be enough material for it, but I feel like one of these for James Murphy, the front man of LCD Soundsystem could be interesting.
You are awesome. You are going to just keep getting better and better. I wish you all the best for your future
