    Oh my gosh, totally enjoyed this flip through from the beginning until the very end!
    It is because of your style of journaling, why I am able to keep my personal memories in a journal as well, thank you so much for that!

    I watched this video a couple of times, it inspires me to make more pockets and flips in my journals and makes me want to fill up my journals with so many lovely mementos about my own life. Thank you so much for sharing! My favorite is the interactive page with the prompts: spray your perfume, fingerprint, hobbies, self-portrait... :)

    I have really fallen in love with the junk journal/glue books. I used to scrapbook and love it, but don't have time. This is perfect. I have decided I have enough stuff for like 100 books, lol. Your book is awesome!

Definitely want to buy a journal from you, ever since I first discovered your channel when you introduced me to junk journaling. Thanks so much for sharing your creations and your journaling journey.

    As usual....awesome! I made a repurposed book for my niece's baby....oh my gosh!...it is overflowing and sooo thick! I had so much fun but i couldnt stop filling it in. She literally has no room to do more than put in pictures and journal. It was my first so i am hoping to "chill" a bit on my next ones to allow the giftees room to make it their own.
    I just have to comment...sorry! I love your videos and keep rewatching them. Very inspirational. You are very talented.

    I truly enjoy seeing you’re videos back again!! However I do know you love spending time with those sweet babies! I can’t wait to see what your next personal book is!! I wish I could find this one! I’ve looked, but I may have to order off of eBay or something! Lol i wanna make one from it, or The Shy Little Kitten! They’re just so cute.. the vintage images of kittens.. and the Bambi (deer) images!! I have found many of those and I LOVE those images of the woodland animals! Just too cute! Have a great day!

    It’s interesting to see how different this one is from the last one! I actually was watching your last flip through yesterday. It seams like the last one had more planning and trying to make it ‘pretty’ and this one was more chaotic (which I absolutely love and is definitely a compliment!!)
    Do you feel that this is more your newer style , it seams more relaxed. I know because it was smaller then the last one you kinda just put stuff in multiple pages at a sitting in stead of doing like a spread. I know having a new baby with already having two boys must be crazy! I love that your making videos again!
    Kinda random question but how did you find pen pals to send happy mail too? I would love to have a pal to send bits and piece of crafting/journaling stuff but have no idea how to find someone who’s into the same thing as opposed to just a regular pen pal.
    Lol I guess if anyone reads this comment and wants to be my happy mail buddy I’d love to hear from you!

    • @JohannaClough
      @JohannaClough  6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Kady Sousa i think definitely because of the size of this journal, I felt more limited with the spreads but it’s mostly because I haven’t had much time to sit down and fiddle around with more intricate spreads haha, I think I definitely enjoyed my last journal more though, the bigger size allowed my creativity to go wild! (obviously I also had a bit more time then, too) this journal I ended up slapping everything down as quickly as I could really in order to keep up!
      As for penpals I don’t really have any other than those who have sent me something after watching my channel 😊♥️

      If you're interested in what they call "happy mail" these days, sub to channels and make friends on youtube. It's not so much called pen pals as just sharing fun projects and being community 👍

    Using your awesome inspiration, I have started my first junk journal. It’s little as I figured it would be best to start out with a small project. I have a question: when you make a random journal for someone else you obviously do not put your personal pictures in the pockets. Do you make a note stating that photos can be inserted here or inform the owner that this is a blank tag for journaling? Or do you just assume the recipient knows what to do?
    I am having great fun creating my signatures but it is taking me forever!!! Thanks for all your advice and great ideas. I am a pack-rat like you; I keep every tag, piece of packaging, envelope, wrap, old paper, anything that looks like it would look cool in a journal. My family laughs at me because I keep trash and wrapping and everything but it is fun to use my imagination with the old stuff.
    Thanks for sharing your awesome talent with us so we can have journal making fun like you! I am not selling anything I make so I have no idea if anyone would even want it, but I’m still having fun and it’s a great stress reliever.

    • @JohannaClough
      @JohannaClough  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Kimberly Siddons i’m so happy for you! Journalling is so much fun 😊 usually when I make journals for others I like to leave it more plain so that it can be personalised as much as needed, I feel like everyone has their own journalling styles and process so busy pages can sometimes be daunting and limiting if it doesn’t fit your usual way of using the pages, and I really want my books to be usable first and foremost! Extra tags and journal spots I leave blank and assume the owner will figure out a way to use it however suits them 😄 junk journalling is kind of a unique niche so to get your hands on one, I assume one would have basic understanding or just a genuine interest/creativity to use one, or if they did happen to get stuck, there’s a mass of ideas available at their fingertips 😊♥️ thank you for watching!

    I can't tell you how much I love your work. I really can't. Thank you for sharing it with us. I was wondering...how personal do you get in your journals? Are they the kind of thing you'd let a good friend flip through or are they only for you? Also, can you please tell me the name of the border punch you use, if you know it? Thanks again for letting us see these snapshots of you, your life, your family, your art, and your obviously very beautiful heart.

    • @JohannaClough
      @JohannaClough  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ann Smith oh thank you so much ♥️ in this journal I haven’t done much in depth writing, it’s mostly been a catch all for bits and pieces. The written entries in here are mostly pretty vague with some more personal entries hidden in pockets. I have another journal where I write more privately and don’t really put things into it. Hope that helps! The border punch is by Martha Stewart! It’s called ‘floral vine’ i think 😊♥️

      Tonya Simington thank you both for watching! I’m sorry if it was hard to see! I’m mostly trying to share the layout of the pages rather than the journalling/writing, I guess since this is my personal journal this is just a more comfortable distance for me 😄 but yes I will take your feedback on board it definitely could have used being a little closer! X

    Beautiful as always, Johanna! I'm shocked that you have 10 junk journals almost ready to sell!! It takes me several weeks to make just one! I am wondering that do you make the pages on chronological order or just when something comes to your mind?
    I feel hard to start memory keeping because I feel that everything should be on time order so I never start.. :/

    • @JohannaClough
