That depends on your location though and we're about an hour from Raleigh/Durham (NC State and Duke). I have been in massive culture shock and still am because of the economy and the prices here.... Luckily, we are in an apartment complex from my husband's work to the North of High Point so not really too much crime. My heart is with the people of Asheville too. Thank you for the video. I've never owned or really wanted to buy a gun but I have been looking into it for my wife and I's safety. I think the background checks are fine and as you mentioned provide that extra layer of insurance.
I just found this video. I am born and raised in NC I was always so afraid of getting a gun permit but wanted a gun for protection, While I still think in some cases the permit's kept NC a little safer for everyone.
@@TobyRussell A little over 10 years ago I Had endometriosis and instead of the doctor's treating me, they said I was a drug addict and I think they put that on my record, I don't know for sure. On top of that I also have been on disability since childhood due to ADHD and was told I could not have a protection weapon because of that.
North Carolina born n raised recently turned 18 was wondering how to purchase a rifle in 2024 it’s all very intimidating online to look at and not know where to start
Just make sure you arent getting screwed and always haggle if you are going to a pawn shop. Ar-15s only need one pin clicked to break em down, if theyll let you thats a great sign or have them do it for you, look up videos on what to look for wear-wise if its used. Just be polite, respectful and always be mindful of where you point it no matter if its loaded or not. Be safe and have fun dude
I’m 20 years old and just moved to nc, what step do I take next on getting a handgun? If I’m not able to now at this age can you let me know? Also can you let me know the same thing for long guns
For handguns you need to be 21. I’d suggest going to get your concealed carry because it’s so much easier to buy a handgun quicker. For long guns 18+. Which all makes no sense that you can get a gun that does more damage more accurately at a younger age. 🤷🏻♂️

Sig p365 x macro. Then added a red dot and light. Still trying to find a holster I like. We have gotten rid of some permits but there is still a hold period unless you have the carry permit.
How can I choose the best handgun for me? My hands and arms are weaker due to arthritis, so I'd need something easy to shoot, light as possible with minimal kickback. And can you test a gun before buying? Or can you return it after trying it? As a newbie, what accessories should I expect to need along with the gun? Thanks
@moebiusfan9545, you can watch/read reviews on the internet, but then you'll have to go out and test it yourself. Some ranges have stores in them, and some will also apply range fees towards the purchase in their store. as for recoil,.380 ACP has less recoil potential than 9mm, although less common and has less power. You can check out models like S&W M&P shield EZ, Glck 42...

HA. Really depends on the store. Some are still paper forms so they take longer.

Unfortunately the people who do harm with firearms obtain them through other means with no background check.

All done at the store. To be fair I have my conceal carry license so that made it faster.
