You are right, he is sometimes played as midlander. But you are wrong that he is not a support, he is a 100% a support. Any hero who can be valuable with very little farm and add utility can be played as support.
1. Use your arcane boots more. 2. If you're going to support, you have to start warding. 3. AA's Q gives vision, so you can use it over trees and in fog when looking for heroes like Hoodwink. 4. Use Q on any hero with a channel ability, like Lion's mana drain. It'll be a guaranteed stun. 5. You can often blow up cores without BKB that jump you with ult (R and then R again really fast), then Q and W, then E. 6. Your builds are too greedy, which is a very common beginner issue. Early support items should usually be wards, blood grenade, wand, stat item (bracer/null/wraith), boots, drums, glimmer, force staff, atos, solar crest. If you're on a carry, it should be boots, stat item, wand, and then your farming item (battlefury, radiance, maelstrom). 7. Most people go the 2nd facet on AA, but AOE cold feet is super strong at lower MMR because teams group up. 8. Against heavy magic teams, buy a raindrop in the 10 minute range. You'll survive more. 9. AA's ult is a skill shot, and requires knowing when teamfights are going to happen, and where they'll move to. It's a hero worth returning to after some more games. It does burst damage at the point you release it at, and only applies the effect when it crosses over enemies. It's global, though. 10. Don't buy back unless you can get a guaranteed kill or help your carry survive. This usually means a fight is happening near a spot you can teleport to. 11. Select the most popular guide for each hero and work from that, for items and leveling skills.
@4:50 you may or may not know this already since this is a 7 day old video, but Razor drains AD from his enemies with the tether. Think of Trundle's chomp, except Trundle chomp only steals a certain amount of AD. Razor can literally drain your AD into the negatives if you don't break the tether, which is why your teammate never turned on the Razor (because he is quite literally going to do 0 damage). Anyway, I've seen a couple of your videos and you have good game sense and fundamentals. The only thing you are lacking is knowledge, which comes with getting to know the heroes more. Hope you find Dota to be a rewarding game to learn! I'm sure it will be quite the different experience from League even though the two games share so many similar mechanics yet play so differently.
He is a glasscanon that is not very fragile despite being both old and made of ice 😂 His E and R are basically poison to any tank and morphling cries every time Ancient drops his ulti on him because it ruins his essence shift. However dragon lance is not really built for the range as it gives very little range to the already massive range of AA, it is built to be made into Pike for the 3 second no range limit attacks. I play AA almost exclusively mid, I do not go pike. Instead 2 null talismans > Rushing Aghs > witch blade > Kaya and sange or Kaya And Yasha > if by then you haven't already won the game then upgrade Witch blade, maybe get Orchid and upgrade that.
I wish to coach you, but I think Tzar Potato is better for that! He has a lot of League to Dota videos on his channel and enjoys and has a lot of experience coaching League players into Dota, he also has a Reddit post with a lot of detail for new players from League.
he's very reliant on lane partner early, really weak otherwise with a stun core like wraithking or chaos knight you've got a lot of killing potential aghs is a core build but it's fun for sure, it's a mid build most likely

It's suport hero , could be core but got alot regen problem
