Such a beautiful genuine woman! I used to have a chat with her via Instagram a while back when she lived here in Australia. Great knowledge and such a beautiful heart wanting to help people be their best. Keep shining you are beautiful in and out ❤
I was 65kg 183cm at around 18, finished school and going into university. But I got a streak of problems with anxiety and depression which I had to take care of medically. Was hospitalized once and was shocked to know I weighed 75-80 kilos when I was dismissed. A few month ago I weighed 95-97kgs and recently reached 100kg. This really scared me. I don't have a ohysically active life, but a mentally active one. Programming, gaming, 3d modelling, etc. My friend, who has a medical degree, has gave me some advice about what I should eat and why. And potatoes, rice, buckwheat, meat (chicken) were the top ones. And it's quite easy to cook! What an interesting coincidence that I also found this channel days after that recommendation from my friend.
Sounds great, just take it slowly and trust yourself. You’ll get there. At the end of 2020 I noticed I had gotten bigger. You know … the pandemic, I moved in with my boyfriend and we were cooking a lot… I thought, ok, I’ll get in shape next year. In 2021 I had to undergo surgery. Doctors weighted me and I was 84 kg. That was a big number, since I am 1.65. So I just thought: this is it. I will take it slowly and steady and, since I love healthy foods and cooking, I will just try and have less junk food during weekdays. The next year I went for the annual check on my medical condition, and I was down to 80. In 2023 I went back again, and I was 77. Last time has been a month ago: 70 kg. As you can see, it took me quite some time, but I am almost at my ideal weight, which is 63-64, because I don’t want to be too skinny since I am in my late forties. Just remember: Diet makes you lose weight but have a long term plan, not a short term. And exercise helps with maintaining the weight under a threshold. Give yourself time and love yourself ❤ Good luck
Omg are we the same person? I was also 65kg at 18 and went up to 97kg in university and I'm also a 3D animator! I understand the feeling. I just want to let you know even though it's difficult, I believe in you and you can do it. I'm still on my journey and currently ~84kg (lost 14kg). I had a hard time with nutrition but I'm slowly getting there (took me 3 years later to find that rhythm). Again, I believe in you and I hope you're doing okay🩷
Why do people criticize you badly on specific videos but in these vids u are mostly safe and you ignore the criticism! You really are my fav fitness TH-camr
Love your empathy and the way you present solid weight loss information with care. Side note: balancing food on your head is hilarious and helps to keep my attention 😂
This was the first ever video I saw of you and I may or may not have scrolled past after you said potatoes to get rid of I finally watch the whole video and I am so happy I did.
As someone with an ed, I really appreciate this channel. Not only is it real proper nutritional advice, it’s comforting. It’s really nice to see a channel like this instead of the influencers who brag about how fasting for a week is “healthy” (my heart almost stopped from that btw). This channel actually gives me the courage to eat :3
Exactly! Potatoes are a really good food for weightloss actually. They contain like Noodles a lot of starch which will keep you full for longer periods of time. Obviously you should still track calories to loose weight!
Portions matter so much. And tbh, when you start weighing your food, you realize that you can eat way more than you thought. I counted calories for a while just so I could reframe my mindset on what a healthy amount of food looked like. Most of the time I had to force myself to finish the food on my plate. Now I’m much more nutrient focused, making sure I’m mostly eating meals made with natural ingredients. Because now I know what a healthy portion looks like, it’s much easier to lose weight at a healthy pace. (.5-1lbs per week)
Potatoes get a bad rap because people dont realize how many added calories they add to them (sour cream, butter, cheese). They think its the potato itself. They are incredibly satiating calorie for calorie.
Lady I'm sri lankan ive been eating rice for 3 meals a day for 22 yrs now , and if ive learned something that is it doesn't matter whether it's grains, fibre, nutritious calaroies or sugar and chocolate or whatever, what matters in a weight loss is simply a calorie deficit. Even if it's good/ healthy food as long as u over consume it will retain as fat
I lost over 20 pounds by staying at 500 cal diet for over 3 month. I wasn’t even fat, just unhappy with my body. Now I’m underweight and have been diagnosed with anorexia. Please…don’t do it to yourself ❤
Guys, dieting isn’t about eating extremely healthy, you can still enjoy foods you love with moderation, I’ve been dieting for a month now and i eat a sweet treat or two daily and i still see progress! This woman is right, cutting things out that you enjoy will make you feel miserable mentally and physically from my experience. Eat foods you like a build a healthy relationship with food that you’re comfortable with! There’s so many misconceptions because of misinformation around the internet, do what you believe what’s best for you while fueling your body :)
What helps you to lose weight? I really want to lose like 6kg but I don’t know how, and I once tried to be in a calorie deficit but I don’t think I did it right and I never understand how I’m supposed to do it even after watching loads of videos
Well cane sugar is a "healthy sugar" if you eat certain fruits you will put on more weight than you lose depending on how much of it you eat since your insulin will spike miles high
First of all, you are beautiful! Second, I am so glad I continued watching because I almost clicked off the video because I didn't need this kind of negativity in my life. 😂😂 I love potatoes. It's my favorite food.
I just learnt that to lose weight, u need to make a calorie deficit. I record all the foods i eat now on a calorie counter app and realised there r some simple stuff which are very calorie dense. I included protein shakes and skimmed milk in my diet. Reduced (not removed) processed foods. Started taking multivitamins and omega 3 supplements. Started eating good fruits. Changed my routine a lot. And I've lost like 6 kgs in 3 weeks. Weight reduces a lot in first week. Then it slows down.
Counting calories are stupid you mostly gain weight from carbs and sugar eating fat and protein until you are full is much better than depriving yourself
@@SamDjdjei am not depriving myself of foods. U think everyone is aware of how simple stuff is actually really calorie dense. Like nuts, normal milk, white bread, white rice, etc. By calorie counter, I am not stopping myself from eating after 1200 calories. I educated myself on foods I eat that actually aren't that healthy. I did not ditch them, i either replaced them or reduced them. Instant soup? Instant oatmeals? Cornflakes? Biscuits? White bread? No. These arent healthy. Too much calcium, too much sugar, too much sodium are bad and when your foods r dense in them, u get an idea on what u're doing wrong. My energy drink contains more sugar than energy. I didn't know that. I learnt easy quick recipes for soups. Switched to brown bread, ditched biscuits, made my own oatmeals. Calorie counter isn't for stopping my meals. It's for understanding what food i should reduce, replace and add to get a healthy diet. I realised I didn't get much fibre or protein, so I started taking beans and protein powder shakes. Dont just make up what stupid people think calorie counter is for. It has genuinely changed my life. I have added more stuff that has nutrition than i reduced hidden calories like butter, cheese, white rice, nuts. I did not ditch but reduced them to keep myself happy.
@@SamDjdjeand yeah. At 1200 calories, I feel more full than i did at my usual before. Because i'm getting stuff I need to feel full. Fibres like beans, fruits, a bit of nuts, cucumbers, while containing low calories keep me so full. I don't feel hungry after them. Calorie counter doesn't mean deprivation. To me, it has always meant adding, replacing and reducing. First few days, I kept reach 1700 calories. That was fine. I didn't stop eating after 1200. Just got educated on what stuff was a problen. My whole day was 1000 calories but then i ate a big cup foxnuts, and bam, 700 calories.
You had me scared in the first half, ngl.
