  • Beach huts are a peculiarly British passion. Designed to shield holidaymakers from fair weather or foul, as well as offering the perfect spot to make a cup of tea, the cabins have shot up in popularity during the Coronavirus pandemic, with most overseas travel curtailed, and at Walton on the Naze a beach hut in which overnight stays are not allowed can fetch up to 40,000 pounds (46,000 euros). Two beach hut lovers explain their allure.

Rather sad that these have not caught on in Canada. Everyone on this side of the pond wants a summer cottage with land. As long as you get along with your neighbors the British beach hut would be loads of fun.

I've always wanted a beach hut! There are none available for sale in West Somerset. :(
