- How to Fix Application Was Unable To Start Correctly Error Code 0xc0000142.
This is another Windows issue happens due to various reasons. In this video, you will see different methods to fix this issue on Windows 7, 8/8.1, and Windows 10.
Method 1 - Check for the LoadAppInit_Dlls registry key and set the value to 0.
Method 2 - Check for conflicting non-Microsoft services.
Method 3 - Re-register DLLs and ActiveX Control
Copy these commands to cmd one by one -
for %i in (%windir%\system32*.dll) do regvr32.exe / s%i
for %i in (%windir%\system32*.ocx) do regsvr32.exe / s%i
Method 4 - Check if you using the correct region.
Method 5 - Windows Update and Update uninstall.
Method 6 - Repair corrupt OS files using system file checker.
All these methods should help you to fix this error.
Note: It is advised to create a system restore point before following any Windows tutorial.

all these methods are not working. what can i do now? please help me. I can not open filmora X after patch it. but before patch it is working. so help me.

Method 2 isolated and fixed the issue. If you are using cirix receiver app in your system, then that's what causing the issue. Entry Protect Inject Service by Citrix needs to be disabled and restart the system. Looks like the issue started for me after the latest update of citrix receiver app.
if non of this solution worked for you and you have 2 and more hard drives in your computer, you can try moving the app to hard drive that you installed windows on. (it worked for me)
my other hard drive is too full so i cant do that

{SOLVED} update/back2origin String inside Regedit (Windows ) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\SubSystems ...normaly is like this without brackets
[ %SystemRoot%\system32\csrss.exe ObjectDirectory=\Windows SharedSection=1024,20480,768 ...] just endsure you have this values / numbers 1024 20480 768 ...which in my case works ...or open if possible SANDBOX( which is a mini Original Win10) and find in REGEDIT same line.HKEY copypaste above...control values and save restart ...has nothing todo with stop start etc ...bullshit whichs ghosting in internet

Thank you!! I tried the msconfig method - disabling all non MS applications worked and I could open Office again!! So I re-enabled everything as you suggest - the problem had gone away. So I don't know which one was conflicting but hey it works again now so THANK YOU!

You need to disable startup items, if you are using Windows 10 then open the task manager go to Startup not select the programs and Disable them.
i have this issue with reg.exe when i shut down my pc the message pops, any solution?
