I think all City fans are bothered about now is finishing top 4 and at least get two new players in this Jan. Give the new players more time to bed in for next season!
Newcastle would only need to sell players if they want to spend in January. They don't have to sell anyone to comply with PSR. That was sorted in the summer
They’ve made fuck all profit in the last 3-4 years. They’ve made a massive expenditure but not much in return. They need to sell a couple players to make that money back and that’s why they’re under pressure from the PL in PSR
Give me Ricci +1 (Bruno G or Zubi). Need a tempo setter/ similar characteristic with Rodri Zubi and Bruno G have that. But we also need legs in the midfield while also being good on the ball and Ricci is that
You talk about Bruno G and Newcastle having to sell, why should they, they could quite easily take the pounts deduction and fine rather lose their best players knowing that they vould afford the fine and make up the points they would lose.
Newcastle need to sell in order to buy. Look at their profits over the last 3-4 years. They’ve barely made any. I reckon Bruno could get done for around £80m
I love how you just think you will waltz in and take him. Just become our captain. Love the city. Loves the fans. Loves the club. Would take a seriously high offer excess of 150M for us allow a convo
feeling strange about this Bruno G deal. why now? seems out of the blue after the summer even with PSR. You can get rid of other players. also keep in mind he’s playing for a team that currently is performing below standards and i don’t know if I want a player with that mentality on our team given the state we’re in. and especially if he hasn’t won any big trophies. if we’re spending 80-90 mil on him, and 2 others… that’s money we can spend elsewhere on the squad where we need it, such as 2 defenders, a CDM, a CM and a winger.
Bruno G, Zubimendi, and Wirtz rumours but let's be real, we are probably going to get a youngster from the Argentinian primera division for €13m who has "potential"
One man isn't going to stop our defence acting like Bozos or make this manager stop doing stupid shit or get our forwards scoring again. Need 3 players in January minimum
If we ARE hoping to get Bruno G in January, the board are not exactly being fast. Apparently they've not even approached Newcastle at all. The board already know he's willing to come, so what are they waiting for?!
@@2239jules well obviously we wouldn’t be getting a trophyless Bruno G to replace Ballon D’or Winner Rodri as CDM. If he is brought in it’s to be an 8, thus what Wirtz is as well for us.
I really think you guys are coping when you say "we need to get rid of this many players and sign this many players" Its all well and good thinking you know the solution, but if you're at the point where the solution is blindingly obvious to the fans, the board would've known long before you did and something prevented them from fixing it. I don't know what that something is or was but it always reveals itself in the end. You're being told sweet nothings now "we should've started the rebuild earlier" they knew this, you have the best people in world football running your club and they haven't missed a trick in about 10 years. Your club has seemingly forgotten everything about how to function correctly overnight, and I don't think its a coincidence that the hearing for the charges concluded recently
Except the problems started before that! As far as not missing a trick, they missed plenty but other players gave either made up for them or other clubs have screwed up more. At the end of the day, when you have such a successful team it’s difficult to move players on but they should have.
Thank you!! I feel like everyone is just assuming that you plug a player in and play. It’s not like that at all, I’d rather get players who play for top winning clubs and under managers who play a similar to style to ours. That could mitigate the adaptation period necessary. Players like Kudus and Bruno G are the superstars of their team, that are also lower preforming teams in the PL. They need time to develop into the squad. It’s a difference between Laporte and Nunes, Laporte played for a team that played like ours and he had experience with the years he played and his teamwork style. That’s why it worked. Nunes was raw for a mid table Wolves team, these guys need time. And im afraid most of the players we’ve been linked with are exactly the same.
we are a small squad, old and hobbled. We need a complete refresh like we did in 16 and 17. it’s obvious and not hard to understand. if you can’t understand that, then you don’t know what you’re talking about.
@@cityslacker6221 proper planning doesn’t have the results we currently have. I think city just couldn’t bring in the players to sustain the model, so rather then going for academy talent (probably due to bias) they went to well “in-league-stars” thinking that’ll be sufficient enough. It’s not a bad theory but obviously it was wrong.
As a Newcastle fan I’d hate to see Bruno go but going to Man City would be the least painful if he were to leave. He would be amazing at City. You’re right that we do need to sell and Bruno is the most likely option to leave.

As city fans, we are acting spoiled and entitled. Saying our club if full of rotational players is ridiculous. Teams aren’t lining up to sell their world class players and our team has always been good at developing “lowkey” signings like Dias and Akanji. Another thing, we literally tried to sign Rice and Bellingham but they didn’t come. It wasn’t for a lack of trying or arrogance from the club. I’ve seen people say we need to buy world class players like if there’s an abundance of them lining up to play for City. Others say to play the kids and not playing them is the reason we lose out on players like Palmer, Frimpong, and Diaz but the kid we do play in Lewis is criticized as if he’s the final product already. “He doesn’t belong at the club,” “He’s not good enough,” are things being said about him. If we play McAtee or any other kid they’ll be shit on as well and have no time to develop. We’ve just been in shit form from top to bottom, players, managers, fans, and the board. I’m not sure what the board should do because spending big on mid players is how you end up like United. Go City!
You’ve basically nullified others opinions but provided nothing in return on what your process would be. Labelling City fans ‘spoiled and entitled’ is completely a narrative the media push! A nonsensical comment. City have raised the bar that much that we can’t critique based on mediocrity anymore? Should I reel off a load of reasons why our standards have improved and therefore justify why City fans expect more! How would you change things then? Rather than just judging others. At least they’ve given an actual opinion though.
71 million signing it's low key? When people say 'let the kids play' they are not asking for them to be given a major role in the system. For me Lewis is used in roles and moments he shouldn’t be playing and that’s why he’s not giving his best. Our problem is that the academy is barely involved and players are wasted on the bench because they don’t even get 5/10 minutes chance each match to develop game by game. And this isn’t something we’ve said this season because they’re rubbish, people like me have been talking about this for a while now. This club has said it’s self sustainable with the academy we have and that’s because it’s all about profit. And then when they succeed somewhere else, magically no one knew they were that good 🙄 Bullsh!t, everyone who sees the academy knew, the problem is they’re being used for money. And let's face it, the only ones who made it were the ones who kissed Pep's a$s and let him do whatever he wanted with their careeres, because those who believe in themselves and refuse to waste their time on the bench, left and succeed
