The 97 was definitely the best year of that generation but I feel the 89 is what a Town Car should be. My father has owned 3 89's. An Executive, a Signature and he currently owns an 89 Cartier and a 97 Cartier. I'm jealous. (He has 3 Continentals as well!)

My wife has this same CARTIER edition ,hers has a moon roof and the 16 in rare CHROME factory rims ,OH and her CD player still works . Her car look brand new and gets compliments from people all the time . She just LOVES this car , She bought a 2019 CORVETTE STINGRAY long beach red and kalahari interior ,she is a car nut . And she is HOT
I think Abraham Lincoln would be honored to ride in this car.
Especially considering he was the tallest president at 6’4, he’d need the space.

The 4.6L is known to be bulletproof!
They are. I've owned 6 of them over last 27 yrs and I put about 225-250,000 miles on them. I get rid of them around then. 4.6 is bulletproof. 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis Park Lane Edition right now.

I had this exact same car. Nice ride... around 89k miles, the air suspension started going out!
I have one with over 300k on it never had an issue with air suspension

@@keithpoindexter6758 Not as expensive as it was years ago compressor is only 300 bucks and bags are much cheaper than they were years ago.
2 tone.....special order car...beautiful....I just traded in my 97 Mercury Marquis LS last year 132K miles...I could not find parts for it....local mechanics either. I got a 2005 Grand Marquis Florida car Ultimate Edition. She is awesome 92K. The 97 Lincoln is choice as well. Over priced though boys.

@@Big-Rig-Energy No. My 2005 Merc is fine.....my 97 Merc is gone needed a power steering reservoir, a/c heater control unit (on ebay 460.00 bucks) 2 power window units, compressor. Thanks will keep rock in mind.

Hey! my father have a problem with his town car air suspension and we planning on converting it to a regular suspension (due to lack of parts here in the gulf) does the ride quality will change much ??
Lincoln should have kept that digital dash... 1) it looks fkin great 2) it is distinct
