  • On this episode of The Kurt Angle Show, listen as Kurt and Conrad go back 20 years to revisit Judgment Day 2001, which went down on May 20, 2001, at the ARCO Arena in Sacramento, CA. In addition to other notable matches on the card, including Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Undertaker in a No Holds Barred Match for the WWF Championship, Kane vs. HHH for the IC Title, the reason why we're really here is to discuss the build-up and the match between Kurt and Chris Benoit in the classic two-out-of-three falls match for Angle's Olympic Gold Medal!

      I'm not even a wrestling fan, but I enjoy learning about the behind the scenes stuff. Kurt has become my favorite ex wrestler to watch do these kind of shows. He seems like a genuine good person.

    The gold medals down the pants was one of the greatest thing's about that rivalry. It really enhance the story the matches between Benoit and Angle we're great. But that disrespect with the medals put the rivalry on another level and was a perfect thing for Angle to feed off of. It was wrestling done right in and out of the ring

    What's cool about Kurt's story is he's been involved with so many vastly talented people. Reminds me of late 90s WCW where Savage, Hogan, Sting, Outsiders and Luger would just work each other and nobody else.
    Kurt wrestled everybody and had time for guys like James Storm, Bob Holly and young Edge & Christian, yet worked main eventers weekly with Sting, Stone Cold, Triple H and AJ Syles. It's a very cool dichotomy

    funny how Angle was apparently so loud with calling the spots that Vince had to talk to him about it. did Vince ever tried talking with Cena? he was the absolute worst when it came to that. talking loudly and not even trying to hide his face.

    I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Kurt’s memory is piss poor... which is quite annoying for when he is trying to recall stories. Nevertheless I still enjoy the show!
    The Wrestling Machine wasn’t until 2005. Yes he did drop his geeky character after the hair vs hair match but before transitioning into the Wrestling machine it was a two years or so

    • @freemind6954
      @freemind6954 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      You do know why Kurt has poor memory right? More than likely it's due to concussion issues. Give the guy a break.

    • @thateki
      @thateki 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I think his memory is quite good actually he remembers alot of small details that happened 20 years ago
