1 man said Michelle Rodriguez and one said the actress from Aladdin. One guy clearly is attractive to Black women because out of nowhere he said he liked their curves and doesn't want a woman with no curves. Not all like blue eyes and blond hair. Megan Fox was mentioned and that young actress with dark hair.

I am Korean, but I went to an international high school in Seoul so I was exposed to a lot of people from different countries. I hear a lot of concerns from foreign girls that Korean men only want to date foreigners to try something new and not take it seriously. I can admit that, yes, there are a lot of Korean men who think this way. But when I ask foreigners where they meet Korean guys, it’s usually an online app (tinder, badoo) or in a club. The types of guys who are on these apps or go to clubs have a specific purpose, to find foreign girls to “try.” Instead, I would suggest asking a Korean female friend to introduce you to someone they know. That’s the best way to meet someone who is serious about you and has good character. I have been in serious relationships with girls of different ethnicities and nationalities, and although it is difficult to overcome cultural barriers initially, I have found that trust and proper communication to be the most important things. M Silas M Silas A lot of these stereotypes come from the media, which unfortunately features mostly White Americans. Most Koreans (especially younger generation) do know that Americans come in different ethnicities, but their immediate image of an American is White with blonde hair and blue eyes.
I know plenty of Korean men who like Black women (and I have been in long-term relationships with two myself), however there are also Korean men who do not. It really comes down to personal preference. Again, there are unfortunate stereotypes that Black women are “too aggressive” or have fuller figures, which does not align with the popular Korean ideal type. I know this can be disheartening and insulting, but keep in mind that there are still open-minded Korean men out there!

There are many couples that do marry. And there are even TH-camrs too that marry and show their ceremonies. So everyone has each own experience, you should try to research more to understand about things like that and not assume with one or two of the opinions you heard on internet. Xoxo.
agree with PurpleBunny 131. your statement is too full of assumptions. there are many koreans who have parents who approve of the interracial relationship and there are those who go against their parents wishes and marry their foreign wife/husband. the world is too big to generalize like this..
Assumptions are indeed a very dangerous road. So the as far as my research goes... it's stated at the last sentence. Plus because of the fact that I am currently learning korean at a cultural center in my country I get to meet people who have lived in Korea or have very close relationships with Koreans. The younger generations are indeed more open to interacial relations. The older ones even if they live in a foreign country, they don't like it when their children get involved with non Koreans. This mindset of obeying the elders wishes on one hand and that mixed offsprings aren't pure Koreans, which is better, isn't going away soon. It is changing but it's a slow change and every woman/man who loves korean pop culture and plans on moving there, should really take that into consideration.
Plus, you mentioned "many" interacial couples and "many" interacial marriages. Stats? Cause Korea is still by 97% homogenous. You get what I'm saying?
And last...just listen to what these men are saying. They have a very specific type of foreigner in their minds. Like an exotic fruit. It's an experience worth having. They are honest. I am just writting all these as a warning. Sometimes we humans admire sth so much that we get naive. And reality isn't very forgiving... Peace
@@wisemafalda Tbh the majority of Koreans who are in their 20's and arent from the country would probably not have any major problems with their family when it comes to marrying a foreigner if that foreigner speaks Korean. The main reasons why parents dont want their children marrying a foreigner would be because 1. They are worried that they cant communicate with them 2. they are worried that the foreigner will make their child come back to their country with them so then they wont be able to see them. If you are a foreigner who speaks Korean, is planning to stay in Korea and fits the beauty standard then you would have no problem finding someone who is interested in marrying you.

White pale skin is simply fetished and the obsession of being being white is the real issue. Being with someone who is darker, seems too foreign or too “bold” of a thing to do.

Bella correct, not sure where I insinuated that they wanted to be white people. But the obsession with being white is true. From umbrellas in the sun, to being fully clothed at the beach to selling 50 shades of white foundation at their stores, despite them having different under tones and naturally tanning.
Bella I’ve read somewhere that they obsessed with white skin not bcz that they want to look like a white race, but rather bcz white skin shows some sort of royalty, in the past noble people didn’t work in the field under the sun therefore their skin was whiter than the working class that worked and got tanned, so I think it’s related to some type of hierarchy.
