When I seen this movie it was in black and white. A very good movie.
always loved mitchum's acting & movies. he got his start on hop along cassidy & never forgot it. thereafter, he wld do the show whenever they asked good actor, &, did you know, he sang the theme song of many of his films? for instance, thunder road..
The production is lacking without Jimmy Ellison and Russell Hayden. I think Boyd didn’t want a sidekick that would outshine him or didn’t want to pay them bigger contracts 😢

I dont like the advertising artwork. The pictures doesn't accurately portray the actors in the film. The man in the picture doesn't look like William Boyd. I notice it's this for all the films you have posted.
What kind of a name is Hopalong?
It's a nickname. His real name is Bill. You find this out In the first movie. He is shot in the hip and they asked how he was doing and he said "I''m managing to hop a long." or something like that.
