    I agree - you have to be patient. When I started this channel in 2018, I knew I couldn't rely on a viral video happening, so I took it steady. It took one year to get to the first 1000. Then the growth started slowly picking up, and today I have over 7000 subscribers. I am actually very pleased with that. Mainly because I don't run this full time and it's only a hobby. Still learning other tips to make this hobby more effective. :)
    Thanks for posting this video!

    I also want to say that Nadiaxel, that was so kind of you to shout-out small artists on TH-cam. You earned my respect!! ❤️

      It’s not really a specific way of doing it, it’s just growing a mental block to being embarrassed by yourself! You just need to remember that your nervousness is shared across most people on TH-cam! Most people don’t edit their own videos because they don’t like their own voice, they just hire an editor! I hope this helps 🙂🙂

    Okay, so in September I would have been posting videos for 2 years. I post often. Not everyday, but at least once a week, or maybe more. I do speedpaints, livestreams, and animation. I also do other small things, but those are three things that I do a lot.
    So my question is, do you have advice on how to plan out an upload schedule. For example, is there a way to have a more stable plan on how often you want to post, what videos that you want to post, and just tips in general to have a steady amount of content. (Also if you can you can include how to manage your channel when you have school, or work because a lot of growing artists is in school, like me, so maybe it can help.) Thanks for making videos like these, It really helps me out and I am pretty sure that it helps others too. I am trying to grow my channel, and I know I will get there one day. I have been really inspired to do my channel, and work really hard to get there. Also if you would like, maybe you could look over my channel and give me some advice/ critics on it. Not necessarily in a video. You can if you want though. Love Your videos, and keep up the good work! OwO

    • @tatheerart9315
      @tatheerart9315 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hey, I'm not an expert and you've been posting longer than I have but I read your comment and thought I could help!
      I've been reading lots of advice on how to remain consistent even when you're too busy (w/school & work) and a great piece of advice I saw is that you should record multiple videos when you have the time all in one shot and then you can have extra videos on hand to put out when you need to.
      Also, you can upload multiple videos the same day on private and "schedule" it to publish publicly on certain dates in the future. So if you want to stay on a schedule this can help and you can make sure it gets published on a specific day that fits into your upload schedule!
      Hope this helps!

      I took a look at your channel and you have some nice skill!
      An easy thing to change in your videos is to just add royalty free music.
      But i think you will be able to grow quick.

    This is the first detailed how to grow an art channel/video with actual practical info!!
    I’m not a digital artist ,I create traditional abstract art , I’m on TH-cam for a long time put just started uploading consistently for 3 years unfortunately I’m still only at 360 something subs! It gets a bid frustrating because I really love creating art and videos about my art that I don’t want to spend my life doing anything else! Have to hold down a horrible day job to make money because like my channel my art doesn’t make much money either :(😫!Im trying the trend readers have more and see if that makes a difference!

    I have a channel and was gaining a few views. this was before youtube has strict regulation of being monetized and I just stop creating videos, because of life and needed to choose a career that having a monthly salary, so I could live and help my siblings and parents. That was before. I quitted my regular job and venture to freelancing as an artist, now even though I still don't post new videos ( and still eager to learn how to grow as a youtube artist btw) But I could say I am living now as a professional artist, I've got small commissions coming and work that is related to art. I also see how much you grow as an artist and how your art style grows. you inspire me to grow more and learn more and this video really helps, I might start creating videos again.

    How do I make my videos more interesting so that people actually watch it?
    One thing I struggle with is viewer retention. My average is about 0:52 seconds which sucks because I make videos from ranging from 3-5 minutes long (with the exception of my sketchbook tours, which are usually 20-25 minutes long).
    I've been trying different things but I'm not sure how to make it interesting :/. People say to make videos that you enjoy so that's mainly what I'm doing

    • @thatdoodlingturtle8783
      @thatdoodlingturtle8783 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maybe you should try adding some more voiceover, maybe over the entire thing. You don't even really have to talk about what your doing. People don't care much if you are going on a rant about this, that, or the other, just talk a bit more. But then again, who am I to give advice? Just ignore this comment.

    I started my Art TH-cam journey back in March 2020 in the first round of quarantine and I'm still barely at 100 subs but I've learned to just enjoy the comments and engagement I do get and just focus on making my content better and better! This was very helpful and I love that you do channel shout outs it's such a sweet way to directly give back! The TH-cam art community really is super sweet for the most part and I'm loving it so far (:

    OMG thank you so much for featuring my channel!! 💕🙀 I am a huge fan of your art and your videos as well! I haven't been active on TH-cam before as I was mainly concentrated on getting audience on my Instagram, but lately I felt like I want to move on, expand to TH-cam so I am just starting to put new content and hopefully make it at least equal to my Instagram account. Thank you so so much!! 💕
    ***
    This video was super insightful and made me thing about how I can make my videos more interesting and that brings me to a question: you mentioned that voice over is more popular than no voice at all - does that equals for showing yourself in the video? Is there a great difference if I am showing myself in my videos or not? Just wondering what you think! 😊

    Thanks for this series Nadia, it's been very informative, especially the part showing the Google trends and such which I had never even heard of before! I didn't get picked for the channel feature, but those you picked have some really nice channels and I'm just happy you do these shoutouts at all so thank you for helping and supporting smaller channels, we really do need it in this day and age of TH-cam. Again, another great video and I'm excited to see what you have in store for us next! :)

    Thank you so much for this video!!
    I was wondering how I could improve my channel and how I should do to increase my growth as a youtuber and TH-cam just suggested me your video about this!
    On my videos I am speaking french because it's too hard for me to speak in english, for my foreigners followers I put some english subtitles on my videos, to help understand what I am saying. But hearing you speaking english in all your videos, make me want to try it too ^^.
    This video and the 1st part was truly helpful, I learnt a lot of things, so thank you so much

    So much wonderful content! You are truly inspirational and so easy to learn from! Even when you are wound up and excited you’re still very easy to listen to and watch. I don’t plan on starting a channel but I do appreciate all the hard work that goes into it and think that you offering these wonderful how to videos is exceptionally kind and generous. Maybe I’ll think of a question later. Please take care and have a great day!
