Philip Gevaert this is all for PC. Can you control the drone with PC ? Going back you saying you went 2km with the drone. After 50m you'll have to use FPV. Did you mod your drone to be FPV-able ? I mean real FPV and not the laggy standard transmission method used in stock version.

Amazing video and such an amazing ending. It was almost like the drone was set free and off it went riding the air currents. Then it decided, im going home. It did a nice left turn and headed back. Best vid ive seen for a while this needs to be on TV. Good choice of chillout music too. Perfect. Id like to know 2 things. How high was its maximum altitude and also do you thimk it was picked up on radar? How on earth did they know it was yours? Amazing cant say enough. Flight is a wonderful thing. too small to have been picked up on radar,but im guessing that it went at least 10,000ft maybe higher,it got high enough for us to see the curvature of the earth,amazing footage.

I just bought the ar drone 2.0 2 days ago, i made my fist videos and i was amazed with the idea of flying camera, i searched for several videos examples of a drone with the go pro hd, and this is, by far, the best video ever!!! . I will keep researching on how to program automatic behaviors and i will try to imitate this video, ( in a safe way! ). Congrats, the edition and the music its beatifull!!! I work as a VJ, and i would like to play this, i just need your aproval!
This is a good drone shot video. However, here is one challenge which you may want to consider doing. Find some of those famous FEMA camps & fly your drone over it, carefully noting the exteriors of buildings from INSIDE the buildings courtyard, than merely flying over the chain link fencing. You should carefully focus on building signage, to give further clues as to the purpose and intentions of such facilities.
***** But it would be LESS HILARIOUS IF such drone shot video footage became available on the net! Then you may change your mind why (thousands) of such facilities have sprung up across the States, since 9/11.

Some of these Americans have serious journalist credentials, who've filed reports about such places, to find them binned on the grounds of anti-terrorism & national security. Both the DHS & FEMA sources have told such good friends of mine, they are now too scared to even think about answering such potentially serious enquiries. The extent to which many Americans report that "Fusion & Consolidation Centres" have "suddenly appeared inside their home States, without little forewarning (or knowledge, until it got pointed out). Again these are people, whose professional backgrounds I would not question their reliability, some admitted they had been involved in such facility infrastructural developments, unknown (UNTIL it was too late!). However, some funeral directors in the UK, I've shown these satellite pictures to, confirm that if the questionable buildings have extremely over sized air conditioning fans vertically thrusting exhaust fumes from the ovens is VERY FEASIBLE. You can see these air con fans on most of the sat imagery available on some of the buildings which are built outside the main part of the compound OR a sectioned corner of such places. People ignored the warning given 80 years in central Europe. As many wanted to believe that such could be that possible by mankind. This time around, we've got the technology to collate this information, empirical foundation of sorts and enough educated people who can delivery objective, researched argument in support of this situation. BULLSNAKE, I now throw down the gauntlet for you to prove otherwise & substantiate your counterpoint against me.

Congratulations on recovering your Drone! This was a great video. When I was teaching myself to fly my Gaui 500 I nearly lost it as well. I was very inexperienced and it had gotten a little to dark for me to tell front from rear. Anyway, it flew up to around 200 feet and crashed in my own neighborhood next to a car about 1 mile away. No one saw a thing but I don't think my heartbeat slowed back down to normal for an hour. :-) $200.00 in damage.. Respect from Apache Junction, Arizona.
Awesome experience, thanks for sharing! See everyone, its important to register your drone legally so if it gets lost, there's a higher chance of it returning. I would also suggest putting a note inside saying to return the drone to the police department or something, just in case.

I like how you can just loose yourself when you fly at great altitudes while in fpv it is truly magical you see the hole area as a new world.

How did you attach the GoPro and still fly the Parrot AR? I've read the weight of the GoPro makes the drone near un-flyable?
Every drone can carry some extra weight but I guess he removed some not important parts from the drone.
