Teddy, I am wearing a Nomos Club 42 Sport I bought from you a few days ago. It's perfect! The support email from Brittany made me feel extra comfortable with my purchase (even though everything went smoothly). Thanks!
each watch has a quite varying dial though. even the dominating colors can change. white may work but blue or red probably wouldnt fit on certain designs of the dial
@@Snuggieman Its recycled plastic...it may be a unique swirl from melting plastic together but its still recycled plastic. Unless they are actually donating profits from the sale of the watch to organizations looking into cleaning the ocean and not just "raising awareness" why? I don't know if I want a dial made of recycled plastic. Theres all kinds of issues there that could hurt the longevity of the piece. UV being number one.
My oris in this model has white clouds with a red cloud on the 7th marker and a navy blue background to make everything pop it’s amazing. My first “affordable Lux watch” and love how it’s just different. My dream was to always own an oris watch and when I saw this I fell in love. Buy what you like my friends, and your collection will grow regardless of what you see online. But it was nice to see the enthusiasm behind this watch.
Got the 41,5 mm version a fortnight ago and it's an absolute jewel. It has a slightly more feminine look than I thought with the light indices, somewhat bright bezel and narrowing bracelet. Its thickness makes it absolutely wearable. Of course I was worried about the "dial lottery", but it turned out very pretty and balenced, probably due to good quality control. Also, alignment is perfect. Unregulated mine is accurate to +10-15 seconds per day. Very positive experience so far.
Since different plastics melt at different temperatures, a recycler or processor will do a press melt to look for impurities in the material before attempting to do a transaction or a production run. What Oris did was take that melt and use it as the basis for their dial. As exhibited, the colors produced by each press are unique which makes each dial unique. In essence, watch dial tells its own story about the history of the material used in its construction. Coupled with the source, this makes for a powerful story.
Just bought a Black Bay 58 today, and I would have liked to have seen this video first... I mean I'd still get the Tudor, but now I'll have to get this too. I need a sugar daddy.
A wonderful creation by Oris, not only supporting awareness of great causes but somehow creates a work of art. Every dial will be a one off and that look is almost surreal. I'd definitely consider buying this watch. Thank you teddy for the review.
Well done Oris! Love the concept and wish other watch companies would follow suit, but perhaps at a more affordable level. I recently bought a Triwa Sub which is completely made of recycled ocean plastic but would love to have this luxury piece on my wrist.
This looks like a perfect diver to wear in the summer time! Oris should have made this a closed case back (no need to see the red rotor movement on this one) with the recycled medallion to match the dial. Oris did this on the Clean Ocean variant and it looks amazing!
On the fence with this - love that each dial is loke no other and love the concept but would need to see it on the wrist. Then select which individual dial i prefer. Doesnt seem to be too many retailers selling it in the UK but will keep an eye out for it + if I like that in the retailer may give it a go.
I love how courageous is Oris lately, I love the Oris Divers Cotton Candy serie and how Oris is breaking the traditional way of thinking of the watchmakers gang. I just regret this model doesn't get the benefice of the new caliber 400, this, unfortunately is a dead end for me.
based on what i have heard from people with a caliber 400 having this movement is a good thing to me. That movement isn’t worth the 1500 extra dollars they charge for it.
@@quarters-eye8922 far more than any ultra othordox Rolex or Tudor or Omega, Breitling or whatever, and so on, yes. But please devellop and let me know why I'd be wrong.
I am somewhat curious why they didn't include their new caliber 400 instead of this SW 200 that they've been using for a very long time now. Is it just price? What do you guys think?
Stunning videography of the watch as usual. Keep up the good work! Back to the watch, i think the cause is great but i kinda think they missed it with the color of that dial. It seems quite a mismatch. But this is definitely subjective and I'll have to make an appointment with my nearest ORIS dealer, here in Singapore, to check it out in person! Thanks Teddy! Stay safe!
Just wanted to comment on great (bloody awesome) photography here. Wowsers. Regardless on a recycled plastic dial…. Not my thing. But thumbs up on the review.
I'd rather have a ratcheting clasp than a dive extension. Even if you actually dived with this a 4 or 5 point ratcheting clasp would be much more practical.
I have an Aquis. Honestly, it's a phenomenal watch, from a design perspective, utility, aesthetics, durability, pretty much everything... I have a sellita movement which isn't bad by any means but is it's weakest feature if anything but these watches are turning out to be iconic purely based on the strength of their design, classic yet contemporary. This thing looks like jewellery yet it's tough as nails, it's really hard to design something that covers so many bases and with all the different iterations, It's becoming possible to find one anyone could like... They really scored a home run with this design!
Im not sure what I’m looking at!! The plain bezel is lost between the bracelet and the mess of the dial. I like the date window at the 6 o’clock but finding it felt a bit like a where’s Waldo event. This is a never gonna happen for me kinda watch. The only second look segment of this review was the lume shot… the blue actually worked with the dial.
Saw this video 2 years ago and finally got one today. Love it!
ORIS is killing it lately with them Aquis
Love that dial, reminds me of a dreamy outer space painting
Thumbs up Oris for helping save our planet

Thank you for your support, Ben! Happy everything went well.
Considering the unique dail, I think they would've killed it with a blue, red or white bezel. 👌❤
White bezel for sure.
Ivory color bezel would be nice

White ceramic would’ve been insane
Teddy you really made me to admire Oris watches I'm planning to buy this model greeting from Somalia 🇸🇴 👋

To put it simply… love it! Currently saving up for the Cherry Red, but this might replace it in the collection! So tempting.
I REALLLLYYYY like what Oris has been doing lately.
Ikr especially that maroon/Burgundy dial. 😍😍😍

Thanks, Teddy! I’d love to see this unique piece live. I really like what Otis is doing. And that movement is awesome.
That dial is crazy, amazed that it is still legible

This one is really something unique. Something remarkable and also even breathtaking.

One of the coolest watches on the market today
Oris is kinda challenging Seiko in the dials department in a past year or two. They really do kill it with textures and colours.
That watch is on my list. Love that dial. Even better that it has an eco theme.

Every time Oris drops a new watch I want to buy it. There is a new Pilot with a red strap that's out this week too....another stunner.
i love the Okavango.
I guess all of us with the Clean Ocean should have this as it's pair.
Imagine how much better it would look with no date window 👍😀 Great vid as usual
Context is fascinating. Top marks to Oris. The face is beautiful. Whether it might be a strain to look at it after a few years is hard to say.
Context is fascinating 🤨
Finally got this watch! Its a banger! Love it.

Cudowny! Następny na mojej liście ❤
Fascinating watch. Surprised how much I like it
You were EARLY EARLY! This is the only video I can find on the aquis upcycle!
I love the dial. Always nice to see brands doing things to help save the environment too
Re-cycling a few grams of plastic as a luxury watch dual will definitely not save the environment.
@@assifakk obviously not but at least it raises a bit of awareness
didnt realise there were 2 channels! just subscribed and will be copping this soon thanks for the recommendation
Best way to make a 1 of 1, very smart love from oris
Anyone else sees the half skull 💀 at around 3 o'clock? 😱
Yes i see at first look.
Yes good call 😮
Incredible splash by Oris, imo.
Really enjoy these guys!!

As cool as this looks, I doubt anything can beat the blue dial aquis!
Cherry dail aquis: hold my bezel
@@sallysbananenrepublik3740yeah that dark cherry is sweet
Good job Oris !!! Please update the bracelet with "on-the-fly" adjustment !
Yeah a ratcheting clasp would be way more appreciated than an old style dive extension.

I'm waiting for the combination of a unique dial with the new movement. I want that 10 years intervals, 5 days power reserve and antimagnetic :)
Hi Teddy, great videos, absolutely love em! Are you able to switch out the bracelet for a leather or rubber strap? Best and keep it going!
Really love the dial definitely will consider it next
Wow gorgeous dial !!
Love the idea, looks stunning!

I want this watch so badly.
This is going to be my next watch.
Love this so much. Kinda wish they gave the option for a black ceramic bezel instead of the tungsten one but oh well I still want it.
It's this one or the tungsten for me.
Might take a trip down to Bond Street and have a wander into the boutique
Just wanted to comment on great (bloody awesome) photography here. Wowsers.

The O in the logo seems to have a paint residue?
great review, thanks teddy!!!
Lovely, I'm on the hunt.
This looks amazing!
Bout time these Swiss watchmakers think outside the box!!!
Thats a modern version of mother of pearl dial.I like the look of it,many times MOP looks like a cardboard
I’ve never seen MOP take on a cardboard look.
But i do agree with you. This is beautiful
Great value, cool story, sweet watch, Good review. Cheers 👍🏻👍🏻
Hey, what do you think about LOBINI? I was searching some of that brand and it doesn't seem bad
If you buy the dial from your website, can you choose which dial you buy???
this should've been 39.5 like the clean ocean edition, more wearable size in my opinion.
Wow stunning
It would be nice to know how the indices are bonded to the plastic dial surface? The dial looks nice.
I love it. Oris, take my money 💰
I'd rather have a ratcheting clasp than a dive extension. Even if you actually dived with this a 4 or 5 point ratcheting clasp would be much more practical.
This must be Jimi Hendricks resurrected with purple haze and a psychedelic, tie-dyed tee shirt.
Any clue how a PET dial would age?
Loved it!!
i got one, beautiful watch
Teddy been lifting bro? Arms looking jacked
When you can't decide on a dial color choose this one.
I love it

Different dial face, I think I would have to wear it to see if it grows on me.
Excellent
Would love to see this on a rubber strap!
Nice!!! 👍👍👍
Badass!
There is nothing subjective about that dial... if you don't think that's beautiful, then you are not a living, breathing human! :)
a wow watch from a wow brand
I wonder how many watches actually have fancy looking plastic dials🤔
Oris - Rado .. or MONTA ? Or Ginault? 😁
I think it's hideous but good for them.
Groovy
Well, that's one way to get rid of ocean waste.
If only Oris put the calibre 400 inside this watch...
Still great tho
Instead of referencing water colors when talking about this dial, I'd describe it as a tie dye dial.
I describe it as a plastic garbage dial.
I think we need more tasteful unique dials
I love oris especially the aquis but I am so ovsr the 43.5 , 41.5 , 39.5 ...... 36.5 , the. 5 dose nothing
But can you wear it playing golf without breaking it?
cool looking dial but it reminds me of early 2000s slacktivism. activism through shopping 😑
How many times in first min he going to say watch lol
These watches are CRAZY under-valued
