- A rise in anti-Asian violence has stirred a wave of fear across the Asian community in New York City, prompting some to take action in an effort to ease safety concerns. The number of anti-Asian attacks, fueled by the COVID-19 pandemic, in the city remains elevated. CNA’s William Denselow reports.

I hear about anti Asian hate crimes all the time but i never ever hear about the group of people who commit the majority of anti Asian hate crimes... i wonder why...

@@Rai3 Responsible? No. They need to address the issue. Get together and have a long and meaningful discussion. They need to figure out a way to keep their youth from leading a life of crime and find out what causes it. They need to take accountability of their actions because they cause some of the problems themselves. Why does it have to be their own community? Because it's racist if anybody else says so! If not, it's just going to be an unending cycle.

Gosh this is still going on? My family used to host Asians, mainly Japanese in my childhood and I used to think that I wanted them to come visit. But now, no I hope they don't come back if it means keeping them safe from all this turmoil.

NYC is pretty dangerous anyway. Baltimore, which is near where I live, is even worse especially the city part. When you live in a big city like New York, you have to watch your back at all times especially if you're targeted based on your race, religion and so forth. Criminals also prey on the most vulnerable or the most unsuspecting victims. If someone looks like they let their guard down too easily, then a criminal will take advantage of them.
If you from nyc have you seen any Chinese food stores, fish markets, nail salons, hair spots close down? Yet these businesses are in the same neighborhoods so called causing hate towards these people yet they have successful businesses with the same customers they say are causing the problem. Yeah "WE DON'T BELIEVE YOU U NEED MORE PEOPLE"
