The set matte effect is so powerful. I recently learned to use it in conjunction with Redshift AOVs and puzzle mattes. When I saw the thumbnail I was expecting some expression stuff with the transform effect, considering that I found your channel via an expression tutorial. But this solution here is nice as well.
As for art movements: pointillism should be interesting. Would love to see what you'd come up with in order to emulate the brush strokes.

Yeah! It's one of my favourite effects. I will do more tutorials in which I use expressions for sure. I try to show as many different techniques or possible ways to animate as possible... More fun for me and I hope for anybody:)
Pointillism is a great idea! And a challenge for sure;-) I'll keep it in mind!

How do you do those transitions from 0:30 and also how do you do that I do not how to say it but it seems like you are playing with the frame rate?

Hi! Yes I've used the Posterize Time effect to reduce the framerate to 8fps. And I animated the positions of the pictures. They simply move in from outside the screen...

The only tNice tutorialng I learnt myself in soft soft is pressing tab in the keyboard to bring up the channel rack
