Hi James, Do you use the outputs 1 - 16 to actually power the track sections, or are these just monitoring the section? What i mean is, are the outputs 1 -16 actually feed the block sections? I'm only asking so i know what wiring to fit on the sections of track. Cheers Phil
Is it fair to consider that the DR4088 is acting as the return leg, so the power is still provided by the DR5000, but the return leg current (and hence detection) is provided by the DR4088? (Simplification, but maybe a functional one?) This accounts for the DR4088 not needing a power supply, nor that the LocBus needs to carry (up to) 3 amps in two directions.
Is the start address 107, or actually 105? Structure of blocks on the screen (ending at 120), and the offset for the (5th) occupied section giving an address of 109 would make the base address apparently 105. (Your screen steps are clear, but the evidence from the monitor screen appears to be conflicting) Thanks, Tom
Yes, it was very interesting that the base address for the decoder could be set to any value. I note from part 2 that the max offset/range then reflected the number of ports that this module (and others daisy-chained to it) would occupy. I suspect that following a habit of setting the base address to a boundary of multiples of 16 would be good, but that depends on your flexibility with numbers. I suspect mapping the addresses by functional type will make further expansion much easier to manage! Regards, Tom
Hi running a Loconet system. Have 2 digikeijs DR4088LN and 2 DR4088. I would like to have 1 dr4088ln with a dr4088 programmed to 101-132 ant the other dr4088ln with a dr4088 programmed 133-164. I can bot get the second group programmed. Please help
mark petersen hello Mark all you have to do is this on the first pause press program button then send accessory address of 101 and then accessory address of 32 with the second pair press program button and send accessory address 132 and then accessory address of 32. That’s it.

Is COMMON the LIVE [RED] wire, or the NEUTRAL [BLACK]?...
The C on the DR4088 is the track feed from the dcc system of the detection rail side.
