CLIP DESCRIPTION:
While Ali (Amir Farrokh Hashemian) is running errands for his family, his sister's only pair of shoes goes missing.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Two children concoct an elaborate scheme to cover up the loss of a pair of shoes in this family drama from Iran. Ali (Mohammad Amir Naji) and Zahra (Mir Farrokh Hashemian) are a brother and sister growing up in a poor neighborhood. Ali is given the responsibility of picking up Zahra's shoes from the repair shop, since she needs them to attend school. Ali makes the mistake of setting them down outside a market, and moments later they're swiped by a beggar. Ali and Zahra are convinced that their parents will be furious when they discover the shoes have been lost, since they can't afford a new pair, so Ali gets an idea -- Zahra is scheduled to attend classes in the morning, while Ali goes to school in the afternoon. Zahra can wear Ali's sneakers to school, and she'll trade them off to Ali when he comes in for the afternoon session. They hope the scheme will work long enough to keep Zahra in school until her shoes can be found, but matters get more complicated when Ali is entered in a 4k run. Bacheha-Ye Aseman was a surprise international success, earning enthusiastic reviews around the world and winning the Grand Prix du Americas at the 1997 Montreal Film Festival.

One of the few occasions I went with my grandma to the movies, was to see this film. I was a kid during the late 90's and I remember how much she enjoyed watching it. She is no longer with me, but watching this clip brought many nice memories into my mind.
I cannot explain my feeling. It's a mixed feeling. I am not rich but not poor. But I felt what the boy & the girl's feeling and what really happening in a lower class family day after day.
It's a great movie which I saw many times. It cried out the whole audiance.

This movie is actually a small part of the hardships of the childhood of those born in the 60s to 90s in Iran. The poverty and sadness of the era after the Iran-Iraq war and the difficult conditions of Iranian families. Unfortunately, the childhood of most of us Iranians was spent in poverty and sadness. Most of the Iranian films are sad, especially the films that were made before 2000. Many of these films that became famous and won awards with the lowest budget and severe restrictions. have been produced

I still remember watching this film with my family and my brother sitting next to me, i cried while watching and my brother consoling me till the mivie finish...its been 2 decades and i still get emotional when watching this.

The boy the main character does not act , he works in buildings and constructions . It broke my heart hearing this . He is rather old now but still has the same innocent eyes 😔
I can relate to this movie, we are poor, my father is a tailorman and my mother is a housewife, in order for us to have a school supplies,shoes and uniforms my father seek helps with the religious people eventhough we are catholics, bcoz we can't afford to buy shoes. As a child i can't help but think how lucky the rich people are.

О своей проблеме дети решают не говорить родителям, так как мать лишь расстроиться, а отец разозлится. Пока Али ведет поиски потерявшейся пары обуви, он вынужден делиться с Захрой своими кедами.
Фильм «Дети небес» был номинирован на самую престижную кинопремию Оскар, за затронутые важные темы современного общества, как неравенство между богатыми и бедными людьми, которые вынуждены выживать в трущобах на окраине городов.
