Fantasticly stylish and intricate shooter. Picked up a Japanese region Saturn partly for this game. While I did complete two no miss routes without autofire on the Taito Legends 2 compilation, I find it so much harder to do it on the Saturn version.
O_O geez, you make it look easy. I'll have to make a note of some of these boss strategies. I don't use the autofire though, so the bosses take a lot longer to die.

SM.,I have some questions about this game(I play via MAME): - I want to shoot the fast as you do here,how I can do that?(PS:On my PC I sed the Z,X,C and V due to play Iconoclasts and use the C button as shooting),when my hands tires I don't shoot that fast - I got many upgrades till reach the green beam,but how to shoot this one and the blue big gun at same time? - Once upon a time I sed a miniboss as my assistant,how I set in every zone the mini bosses as my assistants? - There's 4 buttons for many features in the game,being one option for shooting and one for bombs,is there any other feature where I should apply any button?
Hey, there are versions of MAME such as the old MAME Plus and ShmupMAME which allow autofire to be setup in the emulator. The shot with the beam and the shot appears after getting more powerups. With collecting the Captains, you have to shoot the ball at the top of them and then collect it. There are only 2 buttons in this version of the game.
@@Smraedis I reached the beam,finally!!!!!!!!But I screwed up on the "eighth finals"(G zone) with that jumping robots which is being my trouble in this level
If you only grab all the bomb items to maximize the score (300K x 8 = 2.4 million pts.) you would reach over 12 million pts. Anyway, great playthrough. :)

One of the only things I don't like about this game is that it's so hard to recover if you screw up. If you don't want to waste a bunch of credits, then a no miss is pretty much mandatory.

It's amazing isn`t it? I'm afraid the song is only exclusive from the game ost, so I think it would be impossible to purchase it anywhere. Anyway the song isn't complete in this video. I think there's another video in youtube with the complete song. It's a video in two parts and the song is at the beginning of the second part. Hope it was helpful.

Not surprising looking back. After all think about this, the two pilots are fighting the last of Belsar's forces as it seem underwater, in deep sea levels. The pressure is enough to crush anything. After that last boss battle, the pilots unfortunately took enough damage to allow the deep sea pressure to crush their ships. They could only send one more communication with each other before the inevitable fate of the sea claiming their lives. But this is just only one of the potential endings. There are endings of them reclaiming Darius from Belsar, one where they saved a planet full of natives, one where they thought they did it all and beat them, but they left so quickly and not realized hat there was something else hidden in the clouds, making their job not over quite yet.

The maximum Bomb stock is 5 on Darius Gaiden, the cap is removed in the Extra version, and this score is close to the maximum possible.

How do you get rapid fire? I have this game on Taito Legends 2. I can beat the game without it but it seems very fun to have rapid fire!

I didn't know about all this endings. I saw the ending with the natives.
I finished just one time because the ROM was without OST and it was boring to play. But it's a feature of Darius series has a lot of endings
