It is good to see people, especially younger generations are still being blessed by this film. I watched it when it first appeared in movie theaters. It is the only movie I have ever watched more than 10 times. Even now, seeing clips of it posted in TH-cam I am touched by the beauty of it's message, images, characters and music.
This movie became a basis of my spirituality. I wrote 2 theses about St. Francis at university and now have a Taizé group,which has a very similar spirituality
I love St. Francis He is my Patron saint and my name sek I always want to immitate his life but I sometimes fail I always want to know more about him I like this post

I've been looking for the CD of the original soundtrack for this film --only to learn it was not released. In the early 2020's -- attempts were made to release. But denied by Paramount who owns the rights. So sad. I mean...really -- Paramount can't release it????

Only flaw in this was that the second closeups of Clare and Francis made this scene a bit campy. Other than this observation, I feel Brother Sun Sister Moon was a superb film. What beats Alec Guinness combining Pope Innocent's famed administrative strategy with a sincere, and deep respect for Francis and his mission when he kisses Francis's feet?
