I started listening to the chant and closed my eyes. At the beginning I felt sorrow and pain but, as it kept on I started to feel ease and I finished with trears and a big smile. I felt happy and calm.
Yes. It brings tears. It touches our hearts. It proves that love is the answer
Every time l listen I almost immediately cry. But hey, through suffering we have happiness :)
I never got the chance to meet Thay in person but I feel after 24 years of listening to him teach, watching videos of him giving dhamma talks, hearing his voice on meditations, and reading his words (and hearing his voice in my head), that he has been my teacher, his wisdom and compassion sustained and guided me through some very challenging times... and he still is my teacher. He is still with us and he is still teaching us right now.
This afternoon I visit my mum. She is very ill and today she was not able to open her eyes when I spoke to her. I played her "Namo Avalokiteshvara" from my Playlist and sang with the nuns and monks and Thay was also in this video. Compassion arises in me for my mum and also for me and I feel the love for her so deeply, it was so intense and beautiful and I started to cry. Now I am at home and listen to these new recorded one. I cannot see Thay, but I feel him when I look to the nuns and monks. It gives me relief and peace. Thank you all for this wonderful "Namo Avalokiteshvara" 🙏💙💫✨

I meditate at night while drinking tea. I usually listen to Thay’s “The Buddha Is The Sitting” guided meditation. Tonight I decided to listen to this instead. Just a couple of minutes into it, I started crying. I realized immediately that these were not tears of sorrow, but of joy. Despite the sadness of Thay’s passing, I feel joy in his life and in his transition.

I never knew of Thich before. Only now when he died. He has awakened a spiritual path in me when listening to this chant. He was like Buddha. A great teacher. I cried when I looked at his funeral every day. Your path Thich is blissful with lotus flowers. Canada.

So so special, calming and beautiful.. I came across this just this morning whilst trying to meditate and settle my mind. I am due to have surgery on my heart in a few weeks and have been very anxious about this. I will visit this video each morning now until my surgery.. The first time I listened to this years ago, I sobbed. So much suffering could be felt, not just my own, but of all living beings. It was a life changing experience to really sit with that and to know Thay's community of love and compassion were with me. I felt truly connected.

Yes its the most wonderful religion thats about peace and love for all living beings including the poor defenceless animals.
Buddhists do not go on a man hunt to convert people.
They do not kill other humans of other religious beliefs in the name of God..
They do not slaughter animals as a sacrifice for personal gains.
They live simply, worship peacefully and have a live and let live attitude.
This is the perfect example of an uncorrupted religion that is peaceful, clean way of life..
Their chants bring one into harmony with nature and the divine force.

Last summer, a very dear friend of mine tragically passed away from liver cancer at 51 years of age. I was crushed emotionally. I am a 65 year-old man who has never been a man who cried, but my friend's passing left me a crying, weeping hunk of flesh-especially at the most inopportune times. At my work, driving my car, in a grocery store- wherever I happened to be when the grief hit me, again and again. Men are not supposed to cry. Or are they?
I began listening to Thay quite often in the weeks prior to her death. Shortly afterwards, after three weeks of crying, I listened to Thay's video about how to suffer. He promised we would suffer less after listening to the chanting of Namo'valokiteshvaraya. I listened intently, having no idea what the words meant, and went deep into meditation.
Shortly before he rang the bell to end the meditation, I was deep in meditation. My friend appeared and was flying toward the stars in a beautiful yellow sundress. I called her name, and she flew down and lovingly said to me, "Stop crying Gary! I am alright now. I hurt no more. I am fine!" With those few words, she then continued on her journey, up and away.
I have never shed another tear for her. When Thay hit the bell several times at the end of the chanting, I opened my eyes and felt the most profound sense of peace ever come over me. I knew immediately it had not been a dream, that I truly had spoken with the dead. However she was and is not dead, but alive and in total peace. Two weeks ago, we lost another hgreat teacher and a sweet, humble soul when Thay left us. Cry not, for I assure you, he too lives on.

@@prasadmathew9910 to add to my first comment- avalokiteshvara is also believed to hear the cries of the world. So chanting namo avalokiteshvara can help with your own suffering.. and can help you connect with the suffering of others. And can help you feel and grow the quality of compassion. That’s my understanding anyway :) avalokiteshvara is one of the great Bodhisattvas in the Mahayana tradition.

I keep playing this over and over again. Every time I am in a bad place, I play it, and it makes me cry, and I always think 'why does it make me cry'? and I can only come to the thought that, well , this is purest version of humankind I can see in my life at the moment. It is beautiful. Like a flower, or a sunset. Nothing needs to be photoshopped here. This is human pureness. I hope to explore about this more. I feel blessed to have found his words before he transcended the earthly body.

As I listened to this chant from Plum Village last week, in dedication to Thay, I suddenly burst into tears. My heart chakra cracked wide open and joy poured out of my being. Such sweet beauty, gratitude for Thay and for all of you. I feel connected to life and understand my life path so much more clearly now. Thank you brothers and sisters and thank you Thay.

I'm 62, not old enough to have been there in this life, I'm sure today's visions will brings me some answers soon. These soulful sounds are beautiful. Thank you. 💖 🙏

The chanting was beautifully conducted and chanted with compassion. They bring tears to my eyes. I am a Buddhist follower but my chanting is done in Mandarin. It is nice to learn other languages too. Itv is such a peaceful religion.
