    The plastic see-through area on the front of the mat breaks down releasing Amythest everywhere. This is dangerous as the Amythest pieces are tiny sharp fragments - like glass, which pierce skin. November 2022 - We reached out to Richway, provided ownership information on our mats (we bought their professional and the mini versions). They have NOT remedied the defective design. They offered us 30% of retail to purchase new mats with the same defective design. Do not order a Richway mat, or a mat from any company that has a plastic see-through area...it will break down and become worthless. Very disappointed in the Richway product and their response.

      @JujuPig-vz5mq 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You seem to be the only customer with the breakdown issue. Every other statement review I've read about the Biomat has lasted 15 20 years without any noticeable wear/tear.

    • @mshearer5542
      @mshearer5542 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’m not the only customer. Plastic breaks down from heat, that’s just a fact. We asked Richway if we could purchase a mat that was all fabric without the plastic window, but they want to prove to customers the mat contains amethyst, hence the plastic viewing window. We still have our large professional mat, we continually tape the plastic cracks and we keep the mat wrapped with a massage table fitted sheet from the bottom and also the top to contain the Amethyst. It’s unfortunate because the rest of the mat is made to last, and likely it will, it just won’t always be able to contain the amethyst. We love and believe in amethyst mats, we just wish Richway would consider offering customers a completely sewn fabric option. To confirm the fabric part of the mat looks brand new and will continue to last, the plastic window will not.

      @@mshearer5542 That is Bad customer service on Ridgeways part & the company should take notes from customers experiences/feedback. Sounds like Ridgeway will not do such a thing so the next therapy mat I buy will be from a different company, there are other companies now doing the same thing as Ridgeway without the plastic.

      @@mshearer5542 This is bad customer service on Richways part. If my Biomat eventually fails to the point I will end up going with a different company because there are other companies out there now engineering the same mat pretty much without a plastic window. Richway should pay attention to real life customer feedback on the use of the Biomat but most likely will Not pay attention or who cares type attitude.

    Excellent informative review. Looking at your stats in meditation/use of the BioMat were amazing, and speak for themselves. Indeed, the corporate world is full of the good the bad and the ugly, but I personally am grateful for you doing the hard research on the company that produces this mat. It did not change my mind to own one, I see the need for it in my life. .....and how the hell did you coordinate the mat color with your pillow AND your bathrobe....too crazy! ? Love it.

    I wonder how much the "grounded" versus the heat is what makes the difference. If so, aren't there ways to ground your bed/sheets to earth?
    For example, I use a heated mattress pad under the sheets, and love the feeling of the warm bed.. albeit I know everyone says that a cool surface is best for sleep.
    Also, if the company is suspect, aren't there other companies that sell similar products? HealthyLine 7428? Platinum Mat Full Pro PLUS 7428?

The crystals emitting infrared heat are doing what everything does when heated - they warm up. That is nothing special that happens. I think people would be better off buying a normal heating pad if they are looking for something like that.

    Forget the BioMat. I owned one. I use several EMF meters and their fake EMF mitigation “technology” is as good as having no protection. The EMF is off the clock. That was about 10 years ago. I sold the mat. Instead I bought the exact same technology from Clearlight and they know how to mitigate EMF. There is zero electro magnetic fields that I can detect on the Clearlight mat. AND I’m convinced their Amethyst crystal quality is of much higher quality than the Richway product. I was so happy I got rid of the Biomat and bought a much better product - at a cheaper price - a product which does not compromise my health with harmful EMF.

      Wow! I can’t believe I forgot to test that! I just pulled out my trifield TF2. So on the actual control panel the readings are off the charts! However along the entire mat of crystals the readings ARE actually lower than ambient levels in my house! Maybe they’ve improved the tech over the years?
      Thanks for your post! Do those results make sense to you? I’m definitely going to keep the control panel a LOT further from me head when I use this!

      Katie Type A it sounds good - different than my readings. Back then (2010) I was just using the analog Tri field meter and the readings were high throughout despite the control panel light “EMF mitigation” light being on. I have experience with the Clesrlight FIR sauna products so I bought their mat and it’s been zero throughout the mat.

      @@katie_moore yea dont know what hes talking about. I tested the biomat and its very low EMF except on the part where the power connects to the mat

      @@katie_moore thanks for letting us know where the emf is high. sounds like you can keep the control panel a distance away which helps but I do think I will also investigate the clearlight mat also. I am glad to know the mat near the crystals has a low emf reading.

    No disrespect to your video it was a good video but I came here to understand how the mat works and how to use it the different settings and what they mean and how long to start with and what temperature and basically instructions and now I'm angry that this company are gluttonous thieves

      like 1000 red flags lol but I still love the product. After looking around there are a lot of "copy cats" that, while they might not have been first, they might be more reputable. At the end of the day I don't think there is anything truly unique or proprietary about their tech.

    So unfortunately you are putting your head at the end that emits emfs. Your head should not be on the biomat at all, you do not want to heat up your brain. I’m a bit concerned that the images on this video are showing people to use this in an unsafe way.

    • @Dani-ICU-RN

      It only hates the body up a certain degree and if you go outside and sit in the sun it's not really any different right? Whatever your body is receiving your head is receiving. It's not like it is wrapped in it like a regular Heating pad. Heating up your core body temperature is heating up the entire body it doesn't matter if it is setting on your actual head or not. When we heat people up in the ICU or cool them down with an Arctic Sun after a cardiac arrest we are not placing a specific machine right on their head.

    Interesting, considering all the effort mankind has put into getting away from living in the dirt. Why not utilize Native Americans' green knowledge instead of destroying them.

    I'm really surprised at what a horrible and incomplete review this was....... She focuses on the fact that this is a grounding Mat. The entire video while this is such a small minuscule portion of what this Mat is and provides.
