What a beautiful oh so workable horse. I can really see him reaching out to connect to Steve. Beneath his anxiety you can see a personality that wants to work, that wants to connect, that wants to progress. Smart horse!
Good to see this update, he's made big steps hasn't he. These people work so hard for their rescues and it is mighty hard work! That was really good trust allowing his back feet to be picked up! Thinking back to the 1st video, when he was ao scared he'd likely jump the fence to escape the pressure of a human in his space, what a long way he's come 🙏🌟🙌
What a lovely, sweet horse. Always a pleasure to watch Steve working to make life better for a horse and it's human(s). Thank you, Tanya and @Steve Young Horsemansip Edits & Tutorials.
Dear Tango!! I think he's my favourite out of all the horses Steve has worked with. He's overcome so much. I love his big nose, his wild mane and his willingness to trust in spite of everything. It's a shame he can't be worked, I'm sure it would help him.
As the training session progressed, there were more moments when Tango's ears flipped forward. He is learning to relax and that will automatically make him less irritable. He can't help liking Steve :)
Tango looks like an authentic Welch Pony. I can imagine how beautiful his coat would look if he would allow himself to be groomed. He also looks like he wants to try. He’s going to make a nice horse for someone once he’s gentled.
We’ve seen you work with him before I think? He has come a bit of a ways already in comparison to that VLOG. Always a success with those methods! Happy Trails! 🙏🙌✝️✡️❤️
Go to your local saddler (not tack store, proper saddler, and have them make a halter which is set for the off side. Then the buckle tongues will sit correctly. These cheap nasty synthetic halters are unlikely to ever work easily. A nice, UK made, custom halter is what is required. A saddler could also reverse the buckles on some of those synthetic ones for little effort to have as spares. Ed to add, Probably not necessary now. Great job. That wee horse really does want human leadership, but does not know how to accept what has been offered until now.
