Nice! I’m seeing some videos now with multiple capabilities for $150-200. That’s what I’m shooting for eventually. Donyboy has reviewed several of them in the last few months.
I have the same welder and love it. I dont do any huge welding projects which would require a better machine. So far after 9 months and a bunch of projects working on my 3 trailers its still going strong.
I’m in the same boat as you, I’ve never come anywhere close to 3/8 material, mostly just Mower decks/Sno Blower buckets. And I still absolutely love this machine!👍🏻
If I adjusted it all the way down to where it could be used as a handle then I wouldn’t be able to open the cover. Just comes down to personal preference 👍🏻
I'm not much of a welder, either.. But, You know how that saying goes, right? (A grinder & paint, make me the welder I ain't).. 🍻🍻 Do you have a link or anything, for those clamps & handle? Pretty cool idea.
I bought this welder and had a question about the wire. I installed a 2 lb spool and I am getting down to the last of it. What happens when I get down to the last 12-18 in of wire? Will the wire feed keep cycling until it stops? Or will I have to clip it and just let it feed out the stinger?
So when the spool runs out, it’s going to keep feeding until it gets just past the feed wheel, it will stop feeding and you’ll have to pull the rest of that wire out of the gun/hose and throw it away. So unfortunately, you’ll be left with three or 4 feet of waist.
@@hester781 thanks for the tip. No one on TH-cam has covered that process or made an attempt at covering that. I know you made a nice how to on installing a spool but not when you run down to the last 3 feet lol. Thanks again.
It can be nice when you are welding overhead, as the lead is so short. If I'm welding exhaust on a car on a 2-post lift, I have to set it on a stool so I can reach the top of the pipe.......or wear it like a purse. Would prefer a handle for carrying though.
So different stores might have different names for them, but these were called Black Spring Loaded Butterfly Twist Latch and Keeper. Here is a link to them on Amazon. 👍🏻 MY MIRONEY 4-Pack Black Spring Loaded Butterfly Twist Latch and Keeper Metal Hardware Toggle Clamp Hasp Box Chest Closure with Screws for Flight Case,1.97" x 1.5" a.co/d/eXURVQv
I’ve now worked my way through a bit over 50 of your videos, in order from the beginning. Trying to get your numbers up. 😉🔧👍

It also holds 2 LB. spools. Great little home machine and easy too use.
That’s good to know! I’m loving it so far 👍🏻
I just got one and I’ve been watching a bunch of videos, I thought I messed up for a sec when he said 1 LB 😂

I like simple and this for sure is simple..gotta love harbor freight if you know tools then you good
The carrying strap is fully adjustable so just shorten it up and use it as a handle to move the welder around.

This welder accommodates TWO pound rolls of wire. And that ground clamp now costs $15.99. HF does offer a less expensive ground clamp for $6.99.
Wow, Can’t believe how expensive things are getting
Glad I bought mine back when I did. Doubt I'll ever need another one.
I put the medium grade clamp on
Fantastic content 👌 👏 👍
Thank you! 👍🏻

That’s the motto I live by!👍🏻
Great idea
Thank you! 👍🏻

@@nobueno8652that’s actually a very good point, I never even thought of that but it’s a great question 👍🏻
They have portable mini wire welders to weld in new wire
Excellent upgrade! Wearing that like a shoulder bag is crazy! 🫣😂👍
Thank you Scout! It doesn’t make much sense to me either. Lol it’s the perfect size and shape for a handle right on top.

What are these latch called? I like the idea of handle and side latch you installed.

@@hester781 Thank you that helps, also is the handle spring loaded?
@@kellydeasy2269 yes! Though I could take or leave the spring loaded aspect. I was just working with what I had 👍🏻
Where you buy bought your accesories?
Everything for the welder was bought at harbor freight, my welding helmet is a Miller helmet and my leather welding gloves I bought off Amazon 👍🏻
Hello what extension cord can I use what gauge ?
10 gauge would be my preferred but 12 gauge would be the minimum 👍🏻
A grinder and enough time... Now that's funny
😂👍🏻
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🙋♂️🙋♂️
Thank you! 👍🏻
just got mine at harbor freight with 25% off, about $130 out the door...:
Now that’s a great deal! 👍🏻
Shoulda just welded it to the body...
And mess up the beautiful paint job? Come on man.
