For Docklines and anchor ropes you will need the shockabsorbing ability from the elastic NYLON polyamide. In the video 4:30 minutes, you (and that is misguiding) recommend "Polyester for docklines and anchor ropes because of the LOW STRECH". That is not logic. In most situations you need elastic ropes for docklines and anchor rope.
Right, most climbers will use nylon ropes that are dry treated, meaning they've been chemically treated to make them less hydrophilic. Nylon loses strength when wet, so it's important to find a dry-treated nylon climbing rope if you're planning on climbing outside the gym. Thanks for the comment!

Right. Double Braid Nylon is your best bet. Nylon ropes that have been dry-treated will be the safest option since the treatment will keep it from getting wet. Wet Nylon ropes are not as strong as dry ones. Thanks for the comment!
Thanks for the comment! UHMWPE fibers are rigid, but the rope itself behaves elastic because of the braid. Any elongation (within WLL) is not due to the mechanical properties of the UHMWPE fibers necessarily, but to the stabilization of the braiding process under load. We omitted this from the video since it felt like a bit of a rabbit hole. Let us know if you'd like to see a video that goes a little deeper into our UWMWPE ropes.
