Intensity metal for sure, this is late era thrash but Sepultura was on another planet entirely. Their usage of evil-aggressive vocals is unlike any other thrash band I've heard, lots of thrash vocalists went way to clean for my liking. Love that they developed more from straight thrash to where they went but they could have totally gone in a death metal direction and it would have worked. Anyways, there's enough energy at this concert to power a couple cities!
i saw them at the Concert Hall in 1991, was the scariest, and most fun, mosh pit ever. Respeito eterno.
1992 Sepultura were at the top of their game...Arise...lucky enough to see them live at Festival Hall Melbourne Australia in 1992.....that gig was on par with this performance..incredible intensity....raw energy...was like being exposed to massive radiation..but with lasting positive effects to this day!!!!!
They were filling big venues in Europe in this tour. The portuguese date had around 4000 attendants...something unlikely to happen after 2010. And they were so young and innocent that it was probably the managers and bookers who were gaining the big bucks on their backs.
Fuck yeah just amazing. I was into Metallica at this stage and when I bought Arise album I couldn't stop listening to it. That's a huge jump from Metallica to Sepultura imo and that's how good and unique they sound...at least then and for then next 10 years or so.The live sound and how good they are is just amazing in 1991 for sure. Edit: oh yeah on the sound. Back in the day I read they had no budget when they started during recording their 1st albums so tuning by ear was how they did it....maybe that had something to do with their D tuning and much heavier sound for their time?
Excuse me? Have you actually watched any Sepultura interviews at all? Mate they had nothing. Max doesn't even use the 2 little strings on his guitar even to this day because he couldn't afford to replace them in the early days and figured he didn't need them anyways because he doesn't play lead. Do a bit of reading my friend you may learn something ;)
The sound for 1991 was excellent, awesome, mind-blowing and the funny thing is that I still have the VHS tape I bought the early 90's. "Schizophrenia", "Beneath the Remains" and "Arise" are without any doubt the best Sepultura's albums!

Respeito eterno.
Paulo Saraiva tenés razón hermano, viva sepultura por siempre ....
Slayer and Sepultura, kings of trash metal!!!
Kkkkkkk
1986-1991 Sepultura
Your sorely missed RIP

1992 Sepultura were at the top of their game...Arise...lucky enough to see them live at Festival Hall Melbourne Australia in 1992.....that gig was on par with this performance..incredible intensity....raw energy...was like being exposed to massive radiation..but with lasting positive effects to this day!!!!!
saw that your too, today is the 27 years anniversary! Holy shit! \m/ th-cam.com/video/fralhOIXQ5Q/w-d-xo.html
They were filling big venues in Europe in this tour. The portuguese date had around 4000 attendants...something unlikely to happen after 2010. And they were so young and innocent that it was probably the managers and bookers who were gaining the big bucks on their backs.
I was there too.. In amongst the pit!! Best fucking concert!!🤘
there is No band in the world that sounds like this, this is Special, we will never in a million years get to hear a band like this.
What an awesome sound for 1991!!!
***** People just use it for DVD or something special.
I wasn't replying to you dude x
Fucking aye!
The sound for 1991 was excellent, awesome, mind-blowing and the funny thing is that I still have the VHS tape I bought the early 90's.
"Schizophrenia", "Beneath the Remains" and "Arise" are without any doubt the best Sepultura's albums! Muito obrigado Brasil!!
Greetings from Colombia, irmaos brasileiros, here sepultura was the Best band un the 90s....a banda de metal mais grande do Brasil e América...larga vida al metal que ya no volverá maldita sea....
It never gets old.
So true. 30 years and still kicking ass

Why the fuck are there so many dislikes for this tour .no fucking idea. THIS is fucking iconic, this line up , this tour , the Arise album .. This band . I can't speak for them after max's departure from the band but none the less . That S logo design on the kick drums is Tattooed on the whole back of my neck like a fucking billboard . The most catchiest fucking riffs and mass power . I'll never ever forget 1994 Chaos AD tour at festival hall Melbourne Australia.. with Sacred Reich supporting ..it was like the crowd in this vid, legs fuckin everywhere. And all directions, only the stage was too high to dive. The Original Sepultura .. Very much missed
👹🇦🇺👹
Yeah man, saw them in Glasgow, Barrowlands, in '91,.. the power... the feckin power... just beautiful...
I mean, is their a more brutal opening in metal then when that riff comes in, and you hear Max yell: "Under a Pale Grey Sky, We Shall Arise!" Gets me pumped EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
Listen on the end
It's SO. GOOD
Sepultura ¡¡¡
no seas malo
Trash Metal y Hardcore
one of the greatest metal bands of all time!
That outro drumming on desperate cry gives me the goosebumps every time. Just pure fucking adrenaline man

What a sound and power on this concert. One of the best live performance in thrash metal history.
Legendary show, pure brutallity
Absolutely crushing, props to the sound engineering team.
Sepultura the best!
I wish i knew Russian ..holy shit is that Russian ...

Sorry my bad english. I'm russian too)
That ENERGY is so unmatched these days! One of the best things that I love about Sepultura live is that they keep the energy and the power rolling throughout their shows. It's one amazing song after another! Plus, young Max is hot af!
29 years later still my favourite live performance ! Wicked fast love the raw sound & Max voice & Igors drumming is unreal 🤘

I love the interview. I love watching the "human" side of the bands. Their stories about their lives and journey are so interesting.
The Best time of MetaL 1990
So true
I was listening to this VHS in the 90´s, it is still a freaking master piece!!!
FUCK YES!!!! I used to have this VHS for so many years, and now, for years it has been missing... This is a badass, live VHS recording from the golden age of thrash & death metal; thanks for posting!!!! \ \ m //
It was called "Under Siege"
Why I cannot find it on DVD, I do not know...
@@whatever1745 This show was included in the "Sepultura - Chaos DVD". It's available on Amazon.
I still have this on vhs
This never gets old. Ive been listening to "old" sepultura for 2 weeks
You are right. I've been listening to "old" Sepultura for 30 years. Hard to beat that generation of metal
Hello. I have been listening for 20 years.
This is such a celebration of life. Thank you!
Celebrate.
I was 14 when I walked into a record store and stumbled upon the arise album and bought it not knowing anything about this band. Got home and couldn't believe this jem I found and have been a Huge fan ever since.
This is sepultura!!!! The energy this music pumped adrenaline right into your body and you just wrecked yourself in the pit. Damn these were great days.
To this day I can't even get through the intro before I already want to take a sledgehammer to the universe. This show must have been a lightning bolt down the spine for everyone lucky enough to attend. Igor is absolutely monstrous.
New metal bands: Remember to listen to this every single day.
Me playing Doom in the 90's with Arise on the background. Very good memories but I'm feeling sad right now... I'm getting old.
This may be one of their best live recordings ever. Everything sounds better here than on the actual cds.
Great Sound Quality & Mixing
Yeah, much heavier. Beneath the remains is a pure killer but on cd ots just a normal track.
ThePhilVideos man I love the delays on those yells
This may not. It's just the best ever.
To people talking shit about Metallica just remember. There would be no Sepultura without what Metallica did first.
The best live of sepultura on history
Completely agree
Agreed
Ao vivo com qualidade de estúdio... Perfeita captação e escolha de músicas... 10!
R.i.p sepultura!!! The best concert of their lives :)))
When Sepultura rules the world, period.
This is one of the heaviest concerts in the history of man. God damn I'd have loved to have been there. Too bad I was only 8. LONG LIVE SEPULTURA!
I have loved this video for nearly 30 years. I saw this lineup live three times. Looking back now, I have to add that as a video this rules. The editing is so great even the live sound is really good. I guess it's off the soundboard with a bit of crowd noise. So good. I bought this at least 2-3 times.
One OF the best played and captured live performances ever! This whole concert disk is Sepultura at their peak!
