We got to see our son this past weekend as he came from Portland, Oregon for 4 days to our family gathering in NC, so I understand your joy! We truly treasure those moments!! 💕
It’s so lovely to have those times to treasure as our children get older and move away to their own adult lives. Keeping the connection is something we really hope we will be able to do. We miss him so much but are thrilled that he’s moving off into his own life, as it should be.

Hi Sarah! I’m a new viewer and I come to you from having just watched Lisa’s Flosstube in which she mentioned you. How nice that you were able to go to your son’s graduation. It looks like you had a nice time and the setting was beautiful! I turned 60 this past December, so I’m in the midst of attempting 60 new starts in a year. Unless I get very busy with starts, I’m not going to make it as I’m only up to 22. Unlike you, I don’t have a plan, so that’s part of the problem. Maybe I’ll take some time this week to plan out the rest of the year. Anyway, I’m enjoying watching all the folks trying to do all the starts. Your daughter is very sweet. ❤

I know Jane, I was so emotional with the relief of hearing from her too. She is such a sweet heart and such an inspiration of positivity. Cannot imagine how hard her journey has been, but it’s wonderful to see her back. I spotted a new flosstube episode from her pop up in my feed. So, I’m looking forward to watching it later.

@@janecopeland2306 It’s a lot of fun! Back before her break she said she was going to start this year with us with her aim to be finished them all by her 50th birthday in 2026. So, I think maybe Sally and I will join her and try to get all our 50 finished by then too. It’s lovely to work together this way!

I am pleased for you and hubby to have gotten to Andrew’s graduation festivities. How wonderful that Emma’s family is able to have Charlotte! And thank you for publicly saying what so many of us want to say to Lisa! I have prayed and waited patiently while she endured her treatments. I’m so excited for her and her family. It will be fun to see her on flosstube again but even if she never does a flosstube again I’m so happy for her ❤
Hi Kristine! Yes, we are very blessed that Emma and her family took care of Charlotte for us while we went away, and of course, Charlotte loved all of the attention they lavished on her! It was so brilliant to see Lisa and her beautiful smile popping back up last week. I saw yesterday that she has posted a new flosstube. That’s definitely on my radar to watch later today.

You’ve peaked my interest in the Historical Sampler Advent Box and SAL. Thank you for another wonderful video. I am not having 50 starts this year, but I am concentrating on finishes. So far I have 11 pieces out to my two finishers and have had three pieces framed.
I am definitely STITCHING HAPPY🤗. Please tell Charlotte I loved her jump. What concentration she had. Hope she enjoys her birthday party today.
That’s great progress on getting through your finishes Jane. So glad you are enjoying them. The HSC Advent box always looks lovely and is a little bit different from other advent boxes with a few ornamental/gift items thrown in. A different balance I suppose, but they always choose such lovely things to include. Having six little projects included sounds like a lot of fun to me.

Thank you Nancy. Thankfully I wasn’t suffering with my ear on the flight. It was later on the night of our return that I started to have problems. It still hasn’t gone but has lessened enough this week that I feel a bit better and can concentrate on my stitching again.😊

That is so wonderful for Andrew. Congratulations on raising such a fine son and for him graduating such a prestigious university. I just looked at St Cuthbert’s and it is wonderful and to have a castle there! My grandson will begin Sewanee, Unjversity of the South studying international studies. It is a beautiful Episcopal school with a great chapel but no castle. Your stitching is beautiful as usual.
St Cuthbert’s! That’s the one I couldn’t remember! It certainly was a lovely backdrop to a special occasion. I hope your grandson enjoys his time away at college. I’m sure his graduation will come around sooner than you think!

They weren’t quite as I had imagined in terms of the overall picture, but they were so much prettier! I did especially love the alliums on the final release.

I have to laugh though because when you said you were born in 1974 I thought that’s funny… that’s the year I graduated from high school!! I’m working on a committee for our 50th high school reunion in September!! I’ve been stitching for about 47 years!! Hello! Oh I see Fancy an ABC is going to be a start with you. Yesterday I just found a piece of beautiful maroon coloured fabric with coordinating off-white floss that I bought at Stitch North last year and I wondered what I would stitch on it. Today I have the answer. I had the same reaction when I saw Lisa’s post on Friday. She was a table mate at Stitch North last year and she is so great. I am deep into starting my 8 ornaments for presents for me nieces and nephews this month. I just can’t post any of it on IG! But I am stitching! That castle was gorgeous. I must come across the pond before I’m too old to travel!!
Yes, Lisa’s lovely face popping up in IG just made my heart leap with happiness and relief. She posted a new video yesterday so I’m hoping to find time to sit and enjoy it later. I love the plan for your Fancy an ABC, it will look fabulous in those colours. And, of course, I’m delighted to have you starting along with me 😘

Birthday party was a success as the rain held off and we actually got to barbecue as planned. Many years we have to turn it into a pizza party because it’s too wet! The HSC Robin Christmas Patchwork looks like it will be fun!

Sallie and I (August 1823 Stitchers) are starting Enchanted Realms as our 1st flossiversary start on July 24. Then for Olympic stitching, we will attempt to finish one motif a day.

@sewmesarah I'd love too! I bought the pattern and ordered some fabric. Just to decide on what floss 🤔 I'm leaning towards a variegated sulky perhaps. The fabric is a medium to dark grey so thinking a brighter/lighter floss. What's your planned date to start it?

Congratulations to Andrew on his accomplishments! Well done mom and dad! Charlotte is so cute and a great jump! I had to laugh about 1974 babies as that’s the year I graduated from college! Hope your ear clears up soon. My attention has had to be focused on downsizing and moving. Hopefully all completed by mid-September. Happy stitching!

Husband #2 did a study abroad at Durham and I have seen many pictures of the stately campus. All of the stitching is wonderful. Please give Charlotte hugs and kisses for her special birthday!!! Magnificent jump, Charlotte. I remain grateful that our paths have crossed.

I keep forgetting to mention how much I enjoy seeing your cupboard. It is lovely. I have teacups saved over my many years that have made it through many moves of household across the USA. Are the hanging hearts stitches?
The hanging hearts aren’t stitches Dianne. They’re pretty fabric and I bought them from a sweet Etsy seller. Not sure if you’ve seen my early episodes, but after lots of comments on the dresser and tea cups in my first episode, I recorded a little tea cup tour which is at the beginning of episode 2.
