I bet if you were to use garden wire instead of cord to hang the jar with, it would be safe to use tea lights too. Says someone who always goes for non battery things. 😊

What a great tutorial this was. I gave my daughter some hanging macrame pieces for Christmas this year for her apartment. She loved them. I was just thinking how perfect these would go with them. We certainly shouldn't use polyester macrame for this. Using a natural fiber is a must as the lamps would heat and polyester would melt and stick to the glass ruining the piece.
